Most of the players were unspirited.
There were some fairly sketchy coaching strategies and some fairly glaring non-moves.
I choose not to believe that we were doing our absolute best.
As another poster has pointed out, we now get a Top 10 draft pick.
We will also be grouped into the teams from 7-12 for the fixture, meaning we will only play one of the top six teams twice and at least one of the bottom six teams twice. 2014 will be our best fixture in a long time. I'm willing to bet the AFL saw us losing in week two when they made that stuff up. We have out-foxed them
What we witnessed last night was the first play in our tilt at the 2014 flag.
If you think I'm delusional you are probably right.

I really want to agree with this. No professional football team should butcher the ball as much as we did last night |

I like it - thought north were stupid for beating us as well as they dropped two places in the draft. Experimenting with structure at the start of the finals? Very odd! _________________ McRae for Governor-General! |

We lost because there's a huge tear in my lucky Collingwood boxer shorts that I wore in the latter part of 2010 and all of 2011 except the grand final because I got lazy and didn't do the washing that week. |

We are so far ahead of the pack it's stunning. Tanking to finish 7th, changes our draw for next year putting us in the middle six. It is also the first open draft since all that GC & GWS nonsense. Plus Adelaide & Essendon don't have first round picks.
Brilliant strategem.
Get an easier draw & a top ten pick.
Bucks you're a genius. |

Seems legit. Did any of us actually want to see us make the last day in september or the prelim and get destroyed by hawks... I'd rather we go this way get a better draw next year and Pick |
