Amazon has arrived in Australia, so I just had a quick look to compare the price of a Fitbit I bought for the 20 year old yesterday.
Price was exactly the same as I paid at JB HiFi.
A couple of items I had a look at were slightly cheaper but not what would call massive savings.
Is this going to be another example of overseas companies coming to Australia and thinking that we will be fooled by their 'cheaper' prices?
Looking for casual sneakers the other week I went into JD Sports. Apart from having some different styles and colors, their prices were no different to Hype, Platypus etc. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

I like the US and occasionally the UK site for things you can’t get here, or at a ridiculously cheap price compared to here. If they don’t ship to OZ I get it sent to Comgateway in Oregon, and then shipped out here. Often ground shipping is free from the USA site so I’m only paying from Oregon. And they combine packages and remove excess packaging, like shoe boxes.
Often the bargain sites are no cheaper, I always google first. My sister went to a camera place for a lens (she needed it that day for work) and I got the same one online over $100 cheaper, came in 48 hours and I also saved $30 on the UV filter.
Been waiting to check the Aussie site out. Cheers. By the way Fitbit on line have a big sale on, but I think its only models that are about to be replaced. I love my Fitbit!
Does the hetballer wear ASICS? Much cheaper online, let me know if you wan5 some sources. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Fitbit requested was a special edition one, normally $289, $199 at JB.
20 year old has decided he will actually do a preseason for footy as he is moving up to seniors and Fitbit will help him with his running etc.
Red headed chick wears ASICs for netball and school sport.
Current pairs should last into the new year as we had a shorter season due to the courts being redeveloped. Usually buy from Athletes Foot was they have a decent rewards program - between the 4 of us we can get a $30 discount voucher everyone couple of months. Happy to buy online though _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

when shes ready for a new pair let me know, ill check them out. junior and i wear Nimbus, which are pretty pricey, around $240-260 here, the most ive ever paid for them is $150 Aust. sometimes you have to be content with the previous model, but thats fine. Pauls used to be good,we would get a pair each! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I’m only there for the DVDs. Will be keen to see whether savings on US/UK postage make things any cheaper. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Amazon wont be about pricing, although I find it odd they wouldn't take the hit early on with lower prices, it's about building up a single environment where people end up buying everything through Amazon and having it delivered and using their Alexa to do it. |

They have one Bergman film there, in the used and new section. Might check back in again in a few months and see if they’ve actually launched this time. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Yes, exactly. All the tech consumer companies try to play that holistic game. Google’s self-driving car will, I suspect, play a similar role for them, smoothly insinuating their services into your travelling downtime. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Perhaps there are a few exceptions. |
