Seriously, sometimes you should think a bit before you post, Dave.

You obviously don't know Paul. He is a great person, incredibly honest and of the highest integrity. It's a fantastic appointment and one we should be all rejoicing.

As well, Jodie Sizer, becomes the first female Indigenous Board member of any AFL club. She will be able to contribute to the area of reconciliation, and assist in the development and welfare of our Indigenous players, areas which our club has lacked the necessary skills for many years.

Both appointments are exciting and should be applauded by all club members.

I agree that Licuria and Jodie Sizer are excellent appointments to the Board. I just wish we could occasionally VOTE for board members rather than have the President manage them on and off the Board.

With two departures and only two nominations and with nominations closing on Tuesday, there is/was no need for an election. Paul Licuria is a great person, smart businessman and an ex Collingwood footballer. Jodie Sizer is in business and researching her, I found she has a vast amount of experience in the community and business. I am happy with the departures. As for the inclusions, my perception is, "it's not what you know, it's who you know".

On the first: I assume DP's concern is that it was stage-managed for this to be the case.

On the second: those two in particular? (Why? And not others?)
