I've caved and applied for a job. I'm beyond the point of relaxing, having nothing to do is making me irritable as is watching the bank balance head south.

Part time, 3 days per week, IR job not that far from home.

I was sort of looking on line and found this one. Ticked every box so we'll see what happens.

I also applied for a casual labouring job and have registered with Bunnings job site, so there's options.

Yeah, you need a string of projects or boredom can set in. Good luck with it, and let us know how you get on.

Funny thing is, up at the place in Toc I can relax. Something about being up bush. back here in Melbourne, unless I have a project to do I get irritable.

Yes, our physical setting has a greater part to play on our choices and attitudes than we typically acknowledge. I presume that Toc is a project in its own right , though ? Perhaps it’ll cease to be so pacifying once it is restored.

maybe, I just find the basicness and being back up bush relaxing.

I took my son and his younger brother up there last weekend, the young bloke is a city boy born and bred. He didn't want to come home.

Take the quiz and see what class you fit into.

LOL

So I'm working class. Wow, didn't see that coming.

But the fact that I've read and disliked Jane Austin aligns my taste more closely with the upper classes. Laughing

Mine was "Your cultural tastes are most similar to a working class man, aged 40-59 with a vocational education."

I think they get the answers they're wanting to get, Stui. If there were a few questions about Megadeth, folk music, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters and the Blues Brothers, they might get a more accurate assessment of me - but processing all the contradictions might break their computer, too.

I'm really offended that they think I'm "upper class". For goodness' sake, the Lambo isn't even a recent model and the e-type needs work.
