I really like De Goey, but I'd take Ben brown and a first round pick in exchange.
Very much doubt Norf would go for that though. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Happy with his form.
Wants to stay
Wants to repay the club
Contract will be sorted out later in the year.
CH9 also reported north has tabled $800k.
IMO I think this story is a beat up for the sake of some Collingwood news. I'm confident he'll be staying. And I hope we have to pay him $800k+. Because it means he has bloody starred for the the year and consistently kicking backs of goals & winning games for us. The rest doesn't matter. |
Then on channel 7 news, Tim Watson makes a one sentence statement "Collingwood will have to rely on loyalty to keep De Goey, because they can't match North's offer". No follow up explanation or expansion on that. A%rseho%e!! Just sensationalist media tactics and it will continue until the matter is settled. Drives me insane!! |

Reported on 882 from Brad Hardie.
North has made the offer but JDG is staying put.
Contract will be signed in the very near future.
Make of it what you will.

We have reportedly $1.2M to throw at Tom Lynch but not $800 to keep deGoey. That makes sense....... not.🙄
BTW. I refuse to watch Ch7 news. That channel is the reason games start at 3:20 instead if 2:10pm. Not good for us country travellers. |

I only caught bits & pieces of an interview on sen this morning with a Collingwood official [Maybe the CEO?] who said both parties have agreed to put contract talks on hold. I couldn't help but notice he mentioned JDG's 'off field discretion/s' on more than one occasion which to me, I thought he didn't need to. It was avoidable.
This may all be part of the negotiation process and that alone would tend to indicate that he's no shoo-in to stay! |
