Great to see him kick the goal in the end.

I think he's worth keeping for the Fremantle game. Did enough to retain his spot for mine.

why do we think that Daicos kicked a banana on the right foot from 30 out straight in front when a left foot snap would havedone the trick.

Is it possible that there is a Daicos with a preferred side????? I will be devastated if i learn this is true.

Nope. I’ve seen him use his left leg.

There was pressure coming at him from the left, meaning his right was less likely to be smothered.

Yes. He is as skilled on his wrong side as Sidey is. That’s obvious from watching him in the VFL. For a lad playing his third career game, he showed some rare polish.

Kicking a banana means you can generally flat boot the ball from a low point, quite quickly, through traffic. Snaps or drop punts generally take longer and are often vulnerable when under pressure.

If he doesn’t have a left boot, Peter should demand a paternity test.

Goal to make it a 35 point margin.

Couldn't have scripted it better.

Seven turnovers out of 16 disposals!

Not that I mind - he's a young kid and getting that much of the ball is a good start - but it indicates how much preconceptions and bias shape our interpretation of a game of footy.

Anyway, he'll only get better, and great to see him get a goal at the end.

Go pies!

Some things that set his father apart [after watching his highlights package in youtube because the memories are fading]
- being able to gather and kick an angled or crazy goal after 3 or 4 steps, regularly ie not needing much of a look at the goals or needing to move to a better necessarily position, just a clear one
- automatically switching to a torp whenever he thought he needed to, without too much thought
- using his left to kick both snaps and normal drop punts if it was best to use that side of his body, on the run or moving away from an opponent

watch and see for yourself

Like a lot of others had an improved performance in the second half so responded well to the tight game situation.
