This guy is a pain in the arse; would love to see him miss as well as the others!

I'd expect that in Dixon's absence, there is a greater need for Robbie Gray to play mainly forward. He is their leading goal kicker and Dixon No 2. Voss also noted they need to play small up forward this week.

Maynard might be the obvious match up, but he's not proven that adept at dealing with a nimble number like Robbie Gray. Maynard is aggressive and strong, but not that good one on one I don't think. Best to starve him of opportunities if possible.

If Grundy gets to ruck against someone other than Ryder, it enhances our chances of winning the centre clearances. I think Sier in the middle, and possibly JDG if things are failing, helps in that respect.

Send Greenwood to Wingard perhaps. He can provide the spark for them in addition to R Gray.

I reckon Magden has to stay - he needs the exposure at higher level to continue his growth - if Howe is ok, Oxley probable out although he was okay after quarter time. McLarty might get opportunity last game of year - give Cox a freshen up before finals providing of course, we win this week.

Team defence versus Gray. Our midfield gets the ascendancy, and PA are screwed. If Ryder is out, that enhances significantly Grundy's potential to dominate the centre, and even himself contribute to clearances. Gray won't trouble us if we smash them through the centre. So I think Greenwood should tag whoever is their most damaging midfielder. throw all our midfield power into this one. With Ryder in doubt, and Polec in doubt, we have the opportunity to dominate the midfieldln

If Polec plays I'd put Greenwood on him - outside player I know and potentially a bit fast in open space, but he's probably their most important midfielder IMO and if we can shut him down we go a long way to winning. Other option is Sidey but Greenwood pretty much needs to tag SOMEBODY and I'd tag him. If Pendles can look after R. Gray at the stoppages and then Maynard or Crisp takes him when he goes forwards I think that'd do.
I reckon we'll win.

Howe ruled out again with his 'corkie'.

Reckon he might have a facial fracture from the collision with Moore's knee to the head.

No changes this week

If that is true why can't the club be honest with its supporters and tell us the truth about Howe?

It's just me speculating MBFC... I should've said 'I reckon'

But if it is true, yes the club should say so

^ No, a facial fracture would actually have been less serious. Only persisting concussion symptoms would be worse than a corked thigh that won't get better. (Remember Presti?)

He didn't train today, but I have not seen him ruled out completely for this week just yet. Increasingly unlikely given a miss again today though.

Howe ruled out with a Collingwood corkie. 3 matches, 4 weeks on the sidelines. Only at Collingwood!

This has Presti 2010 written all over it.
