More indigenous players for a start. Go after some real KPPs. Favour talls over smalls. All sports are going tall right now (e.g. NBA and the NFL) but we keep picking midgets.

Indigenous: Maybe - but if they don't end up being a win for us, then that's more midgets we'll have recruited. That's why it's so hard. And it's not like KPF's are easy to pick - many more clubs get it wrong with those selections than get it right...

On KPP we could have thrown the kitchen sink at Lynch last year for instance, instead the Tigers look like they will now have a dynamic duo for years to come (Reiwoldt and Lynch). Instead we put all our eggs in the Beams basket. That's come out smelling like rotten eggs. I suggest we seriously look at trying to get Jeremy Cameron from GWS.

The failure of the Suns and GWS to win flags despite all their high draft picks shows you can draft your way to a flag. We've got to trade. But then again we don't have many tradeable assets, and there seems a reluctance for the big names to come to Collingwood.

Don't think recruiting Beams had any influence on the Lynch trade. If he wanted to come to the Pies we would have got him.

Would have preferred May over Lynch to be honest.

I'd have preferred Naughton over both. Wink

Jezza, read this & it'll help cure you:

Steven May's long road back

He has heaps of baggage. Players with baggage and Collingwood don't mix well. We have enough players who have baggage or are injured already; there's no need to recruit more of them. (And the guy reckons Melbourne players are in the media spotlight. Ha, ha, ha.)
