All about team balance I reckon. With Cox returning, we might have been a touch top heavy, so resting Reid allows us to play another runner.

Its interesting everyone says give Darcy chance after chance after chance to prove he can actually hold a mark and kick a few goals every now and then, but no one likes to give big Cox a go.

Maybe the problem is the VFL side is better coached and can use Cox properly... Hopefully Buckley has learnt his lesson, don't make him run, plant him in the goal square! Be a rare event for Collingwood to get a turn over and actually have someone inside 50 to kick to!

I think you'll find that Darcy is currently in the top 5 for contested marks inside the forward 50.

He has obviously come good then with so many opportunities, couldn't even take an uncontested mark inside 50 in the first 6 weeks! Shame Cox never got the same chances, he might have cemented his spot, however I wouldn't be surprised if Buckley dropped him next week no matter how he does...

Hi Kids, been in Europe having a great time.

Ben Reid dropped? Guess I haven't missed much?

Surely know one here could possible agree with this?

What a joke!

Reid dropped. Ramsay back in...again. You could be forgiven for thinking Buckley is trying to lose his job.

Reid dropped - didn't see that one coming. Only other change I would have made is Sharenberg in and Langdon out.

Unless Reid is injured Buckley has lost the plot dropping him. No such thing as team balance. You play your best players. End of story.

I am wouldn't have dropped Reid or Brown. I wouldn't have promoted Cox, playing Reid, Howe or Goldsack in forward line. Crocker and Aish - yep - back to twos. Broomhead would have been dropped by me. Thomas in - ok.

He's playing in the VFL. Power tripper Nathan, just do as a favour now and walk away. Know one likes you. 4 players have your back, know one else

They're tanking already. A 12 goal belting should make a nice dent in our percentage.

People always refer to Reid as an AA like he's still that player of season 2011.

He isn't and 6 years is a long time in football.

I recall posting that I was concerned that our backline performed to a lesser degree with Reid in this year but I didn't anticipate him being dropped. I thought the forward line was the place for him and if we needed another tall back bring Schade back if he was playing ok. I would expect severe repercussions if the backline is our weakest part of the team this week - there must be a really good reason to drop Reid . Let's hope it doesn't bite us in the arse.

Thought that last week the backline didn't look as good with 3 talls, Dunn, Howe and Reid.
