Really??? Maybe it's because they have played much, much more football than women.....and at a much, much higher standard.

But a male will have played much, much less women's football.

Yeah, I think that logic was lost on the football club. Women’s football is not the same as men’s football. We initially recruited poorly as well, then lost players because I don’t think they felt comfortable with the way the team was being managed. I think a female coach would have been better, although Dunny has been doing a great job with the girls.

Any danger of actually appointing a woman to the role? I find it perplexing that nearly all the AFLW coaches have been men.

It would make the common football rumor of coaches sleeping with players wives all the more salacious.

Is anyone here considering applying? You've got to be in it to win it. (And Nicksters who have not revealed their gender can avoid David-vs-Rudey biases, at least until the in-person interview.)

Rudey should probably not read the second sentence. (Look away now!)

"Collingwood Football Club is embarking on a new chapter and is looking for the right professionals to shape the club’s next 126 years. Now with seven elite sporting teams under the one roof at the Holden Centre, the club is reimagining its future."

Applications close Monday 29 April 2019.

The mean-spirited will question how the Club defines "elite".

Not that Goddard, Baz Laughing

Bec Goddard, premiership coach of the Crows.
Would be a great candidate.
