We're showing the same weakness that we had vs the lions, we don't have any defenders to stop good talls. They're all shorties. So many marks to Boyd and Roughead.

While on the other end we're getting nothing from Cox and Reid.

Cox should not play at Etihad, only the G

If the G were a basketball court in the US I would be in full agreement.

If he isn’t going to get free kicks in marking contest it is pointless playing him. He’s like a giraffe trying to tango. It just doesn’t work or look good.

The inconsistency of the umpiring is deplorable. What's even more mystifying is that the doggies are clearly getting benefit from that inconsistency. Shitful.

True, Umps have rogered us tonight, must be concerned we were starting to win a few games, an thought Welfare Dogs needs a leg up, what else is new!! Eddie should say something re these umps utter bloody disgrace one rule for dogs, one for us. Aside from that we do have a few guys down, and they really need to step up, Cox, Adams, De goey, Varks, Pendles have done bugger all, for us win this scrap at the Etihad shithole, where it should NOT have been played, they really have to lift. We aren't out of it, but definitely need the first 2 goals after half time.!

Deplorable and inconsistent umpiring. Someone’s taken the odds.

If he isn't kicking goals then we need to get de Goey into the midfield pronto.

So many players contributing so little so far especially forward.

I've generally beens an Adams defender. But geez he is really stinking it up tonight.

We are 2nd to the ball on.most occasions and not playing with urgency. Too conservative.

Fix up the contested ball and clearances the rest will follow. Would hurt to get tackle number up too. Low tackles are showing the lack of intensity and grit

Very astute observation Cam. Just one aspect of our inadequate ability to master this ground for eons. Bulldogs have it down pat.

I warned you five weeks ago. Ever since we added adams back into the team, the slick ball movement has dried up. Total liability. I’d take back Heater right now, even if he only had 20 more weeks left in him.

Exactly, I also mentioned this a while back. Not just Adams, but all plodders just hold you back. Adams, Mayne, Crocker, Blair, Greenwood...these 5 guys in particular just cannot play if we want to be successful. We could maybe carry 1, but when we have 3 or more we look slow and second to the ball. They clog up the run and carry and turn the ball over too readily. Everyone holds back and we turtle up. Also doesn't help when the opposition do their homework on us and block our half back exit points, force long kicks and feed off Cox/Grundy at will. These two elements combined working collectively means we can get beaten by any side any time. We are not polished, skilled or drilled enough to implement an effective counter-plan to this. We are trying to pull them wide to open up the middle (hence the chipping bs), but the Dogs are smart on this and are shifting side to side to cover the lines. We however have a low IQ I'm afraid and cannot punish them when holes do open up because we have plodders who do not take the game on.

We're still right in it though, 3 goals isn't much. We gave away 1-2 goals to silly frees, the umpires gifted them the equivalent of 1-2, and Bucks has been able to tweak things after half time the last few weeks and that's gotta be worth 1-2 goals. Just got to fight back into it.

Saw that mate. Called it at the time like you obviously did. Very hard to understand those two calls. Arguably both cost us a goal.

Adams had no form prior his injury, and wasn’t asked to find it in the VFL once he had recovered. It just smacks of hypocracy.

He MUST be dropped next week. Simply must. His kicking will NEVWR improve, which means we have a decision to make.
