Now that the AFL & VFL teams are named:
Quote: | Jeremy Howe - Calf (1 Week)
Will Kelly - Leg (2-3 Weeks)
Daniel Wells - Knee (7 Weeks)
Dayne Beams - Hip/Mental Health (7-11 weeks/Indefinite)
Ben Reid - Calf (TBC)
Travis Varcoe - Finger (TBC)
Tom Langdon - Knee (Indefinite)
Nathan Murphy - Back (Indefinite)
Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season) |
Levi passed and plays in Perth. JT passed but is dropped to the VFL. Adams named in the VFL which is exciting.
Tyson Goldsack has been named in the VFL, but I've noticed that Varcoe & Lynch are not named in the VFL squad. Varcoe serms to have a finger issue. Unsure on Lynch. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Darcy Moore hamstring tonight Vs WCE.
Looks like a few weeks, but we'll wait to hear what they say on Monday.
I'd say this'll stop him being an All-Australian this year. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Which is the least of our problems at the moment, but yes. |

If Adams get thru the VFL tomorrow and if Howe is passed fit, we'll get two important players back next week.
From tonight we will wait for news on:
Moore - Hamstring. Looking like a few weeks.
Aish - Shoulder. Played out the game and was fkn brilliant.
Pendlebury - Finger. Played out the game and was a fkn star.
We have a major concern replacing Moore. Reid is far from a return and Goldsack has a few small niggles of his own. Scharenberg will be the obvious inclusion I think. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Buckley said Moore’s hamstring was minor - should be back within a month. But he is clearly an ongoing concern.
I think Howe can replace Moore.

Unofficially:
Quote: | Jeremy Howe - Calf (TEST)
James Aish - Shoulder (TEST)
Will Kelly - Leg (1-2 Weeks)
Daniel Wells - Knee (6 Weeks)
Dayne Beams - Hip/Mental Health (6-10 weeks/Indefinite)
Ben Reid - Calf (TBC)
Max Lynch - (TBC)
Travis Varcoe - Finger (TBC)
Scott Pendlebury - Finger (TBC)
Darcy Moore - Hamstring (TBC)
Tom Langdon - Knee (Indefinite)
Nathan Murphy - Back (Indefinite)
Lynden Dunn - Knee (Season) |
Aish should be fine as he played out the game. But will be tested out. Howe might miss one more, we'll see. Varcoe might be tested. Moore will be assessed but looks like at least a few weeks. No idea what Lynch has done. Pendlebury will also be assessed, but some reports are saying 2 weeks, some are saying indefinite.
There goes his rough Brownlow chance. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

So what have we learned about Collingwood and injury in 2019?
1. We still get plenty of them.
2. The players rarely comeback ahead of schedule.
3. On the occasion they appear likely to return early they end up being out even longer than first forecast.
4. You can become listed as indefinite on the injury list with a different aliment to the one that first sidelined you for months.
5. A Collingwood player can miss a game through injury even when they're not injured enough to be on the injury list. (Moore earlier in the season)
Honestly it's gotten to the point where you just have to admit it's piss funny now rather than let it depress you.
We simply can't catch a break unless it's to the Captains finger. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
