Word Up

Seriously give Buckley a break. He is a champion.
Like who cares if he says hi to you or not. He is there to play football not for a social gathering.

If the players dont like Buckley that is there problem. Buckley is a winner and always will be

peaceout

i have taken some extracts of this forum and some from the extremists site and emailed them to eddie mcguire asking to respond to the passionate supporters whose passion is starting to wane a little. I have asked him to keep us informed of whats going on at the club, and to inform us on where we are heading, what we are looking to draft, and tell us who that major offseason signing he promised us is going to be? chances are he wont respond but i did recieve an email back from the club assuring me that it would be passed on to the president........

JLC
you are so wrong on this one.

for starters no one is bagging buckley ok
we all know he is a champion.

Why was buckley sitting with eddie at the copeland(and not with the other players)

Why didnt buckley go with the players his players
to the end of season trip.

Instead he is in italy somewhere so it is alledged.

Now if there is any infighting down there at collingwood
it has to be sorted out quickly.

If it isnt seen to we are GONE.

Success is a wonerful thing so many factors are involved
and the main ingredient is MATESHIP to do Whatever it takes to look after your TEAM MATE

How the hell can this happen if we have players not committed to that ingredient it just will not happen.

The young players at collingwood have got to be respected and appreciated and encouraged.

What the heck are we rebuildind if the above is not being taught.

and ps
to finish this off i hope...lol

We the supporter are what football clubs are about.

We to have to be respected in the highest degree for gods sake the supporter is the heart beat.

Remember the great peter daicos
he would walk past and say hi and at times would even stop to have a chat.

Imagine the buzz the great peter daicos talking to you!!

How many memberships the following year is that worth to a club,
need i say more i dont think so.

I do not even want to meet the current Collingwood players, let alone the ex-champions. I used to drop in at the Bush Inn occasionally ... one day you could have knocked me over when I saw Len Thompson having a drink with Tuddy (as they were, and still might be, prone to do). I did not say anything to them, did not even listen in on what they are saying. I deliberately ordered a drink next to them, so I could stand next to Thommo.

I did not want my illusions shattered by reality. Daicos, McKenna, Thompson, McGuanne, Brown and Buckley are my heroes. I do not want to meet my heroes, they may not be at their best, or even worse they might be at their best and still be disappointing.

Acknowledgement is another thing though. Kids are another thing too, as are sick kids. Some people believe you can measure a person's true worth by their empathy to animals and sick children. I do not know if Buckley has a dog, but I put a lot of stock Alf's story (as he heard it in passing not from some publicity stunt) as a reflection of Buckley rather than how he is standoffish in comparison to other Collingwood players. I wonder how many sick kids has Mal Michael become acquainted with whiel he was at Collingwood.

My sentiment exactly Greg J.
"I do not want to meet my heroes, they may not be at their best, or even worse they might be at their best and still be disappointing."

I as a kid met my favourite Collingwood palyer in the city one day and said "Hey! ---- how are ya?" He turned looked at me and my mate and walked off. A "Hi!" too much to ask??? A wink? May be a groan? "Ugh! Ugh!"
I thought "F%^& you!". I wasn't some shrinking violet. But come Saturday (they played on Saturday in those days) I barracked hard for him. I didn't give a f$%k! I just wanted him to play well for Collingwood and help us win.
I had to face school mates on Monday!!!
