Piegirl, there is one point that I have to agree with you on, and that is about lighting the flame on the UFO. Personally, I believe it should have been one of the others.

BUT, to back up CQ and Spidergirl, Cathy ran that race under the AUSTRALIAN FLAG and won gold. That is something we ALL should be bloody proud of!

I agree with piegirl#41 i dislike Cathy Freeman, and the only reason she lit the cauldron was instead of John Howard saying sorry to the aboriginal community. Why should she light the cauldron, before tonight she had no previous recieved olympic medals, why not let Tjorpe, Hackett hayle Lewis light it ???

The lighting of the caldron was spectacular and when cathy
was standing there holding the torch it bought a tear to my eye.
