Channel 7 put together a story tonight regarding Bob Rose.

At the moment he is in Pallative Care and is said to be fighting as best he can.

Tony Shaw, Tuddy, Len Thompson all spoke of his greatness at Collingwood and his importance to our club.

Let's keep he and his family in our thoughts.

Let's hope he's made as comfortable as possible under the circumstances.

He was, and remains, an inspiration to the club - one might even go so far as to say its living heart and soul.

omg i just heard and they said he is seem to be losing his battle with the cancer why do all the good people die from cancer

It was just announced on Fox that he has passed away.
A true legend of the club. Rest In Peace Bobby.

Just announced on radio and On the Couch, that Bobby Rose has passed away. I am so sad, he was a legend to our club and a fantastic person who was respected by everyone. Condolences to the Rose family. Our Collingwood heart and thoughts are with you always.

My greatest sympathies to the Rose family. A true Collingwood man who has given more to our club than any would imagine. His legend will never be forgotten, and his memory will live forever.

Champion footballer, an inspiration to young and old alike and a lovely bloke.

I'm not ashamed to say I'm writing this through tears. My thoughts are with Bobby's family and all who love this great man.
