No offence to the sensible bike riders but.

On the way to work everyday I see absolute imbeciles riding push bikes. For some reason these idiots think that they don't have to obey the road rules. They think traffic lights don't apply to them.

Every day I see a huge number of idiot bike riders running red lights, nearly killing themselves and endangering the lives of others.

The worst stretch is coincidently on royal parade near scum oval and on cemetary road in scumton.

I actually saw a bike rider this morning run a red light at the intersection of lygon street in front of a bus, then cut across 3 lanes and rode on the wrong side of the road to turn down nicholson street and ride along the tram tracks!!

You are missing the point there Culprit....

If that bike rider (****head) was watching where he was going instead of giving the bird to our guys it would'nt've happened... No I have no compassion for him at all... sri about that... because the problem was SELF INFLICTED.

I wonder if he might like lose hes license or something for being a negligent user of the road? Afterall he wasnt watching the road full stop! Motor bikes are DEATH CERTIFICATES on 2 wheels wouldnt you all agree?

As I said Cabood and Dan, you guys as well as everyone esle has no idea of the cirumstances behind this accident. You were not there your simply speculating. "Giving the bird"? Who stated that? Nothing in the police report given to the age?

But then I expect no less from people who have no idea what transpires on our roadways when your on two wheels. You simply cannot help your ignorance can you Dan?

actually i call them temporary citizens, doesnt matter how YOU ride, its all the DHs around you that are the problem. some riders ride like DHs, but whether you're careful or not, if you have a prang you will always come off second best.
i know so many people who have bikes and nearly all of them have had some kind of crash, theyre lucky to be alive. a kid on his dads bike got killed at the end of my street the other day.
i like motorbikes, but i wouldnt get one simply because of the risk factor.

some motor bike riders might be ok, but the ones that i generally see, that we've in and out of traffic, pull up next to cars in the same lane at lights, and speed, well they are <snip>ing idiots.

Now that everyone's made their points and the thread has gone completely off topic, can I suggest that any further discussion of the relative merits of motorbikes and/or their riders be taken to VPT?

I get very annouyed with the amature pushbike riders who think they are up to the stunts Profesional couriers can do in traffic. Most experienced drivers can't do what I do whilst I drive so how can an amature pushie think they can do what the Couriers do.

sounds like you died of a terminal disease or something!!! Wink

thats the problem with the couriers, they drive around like d*******s, if they followed the bloody rules like everyone else they would be a hell of a lot easier to see!!

Anyway, seeing as though this topic no longer has any relevance to football, you can talk about it in VPT.
