Zimbabwe's bowling near the end was pretty poor, if the last shot of the game wasn't a miss hit, it would of been a very good final over. It's a shame the top order failed to fire, but that later stages of the match were pretty good, atleast they didn't get thrashed as it was looking when they were 6/72.

Oz A won the toss and batted at the Adelaide Oval.

Haddin (45 from 41) and North (43 n.o. from 41) got off to a bright start.

It's now 1/102 from 16 overs.

2/177 as Watson is stumped for 37 from Ray Price's bowling.

Yes, full strength bowling attack, JLC.

Marcus North is 84 n.o. as Michael Clarke comes to the crease.

This match is live on Ch. 9 and Dennis Cometti is commentating.

Watson is out now anyway......phew he was in danger of making a big score....lol

It sounds weird with Commetti being a cricket commentator this summer from the times i have heard him previously. What is his back ground in cricket ??

Just for you, mate.

Dennis Cometti is one of the best known and most respected sportscasters in Australia.

He has a wealth of experience and has commentated everything from football, basketball, hockey, boxing, swimming and athletics to equestrian events.

Born in 1949 in Geraldton, Western Australia, Dennis moved to Perth with his parents at the age of five.

In 1968, while starring for West Perth in league football, Dennis was offered a job as a disc jockey at radio station 6KY.

Dennis became so interested in radio that footy "took a back seat" to his on-air commitments. He ended up playing only forty games for West Perth before hanging up his boots.

He moved to Melbourne in 1970 to work at 3DB and play football for Footscray. His VFL career was short lived however, due to injury and he returned to 6KY eight months later.

He then joined 6PR and started to specialize in sport - heading up the station's football coverage.

Dennis joined the ABC in 1973 where his experience included commentating Test cricket alongside the great Alan McGilvray. His involvement with football continued too, coaching West Perth from 1982-84.

In 1986, Dennis joined the Seven Network and commentates AFL matches around the country as well as presenting sport on Channel Seven's news each night. He has covered two Commonwealth Games and played a major role in Channel Seven's coverage of the Barcelona and Atlanta Olympics.

In 2000, Dennis has returned to 6PR hosting the popular "Saturday Morning at the Football" program.

An excellent hundred from North. He's 101 n.o. from 101 balls.

It's 2/218 with 13 overs to come. Zimbabwe are in for a big chase here. If Clarke also has a blinder, we could be looking at 330 +

North out for 115 from 109 balls.

It's now 3/264 as Clarke brings up his 50 from 48 balls. Cam White is in with him.

8/302 with 3 overs to come.

Clarke needs 20 for a century. Will depend on the strike.

With 2 overs to come, Clarke faces on 87.

Hits a 4 and a 2 to go to 93 then bowled, trying a big slog. Top innings. 71 balls. 5/317.
