Whats the best ODI game that you've ever seen? and whats the best Test match that you've ever seen?

I'll Start..

First of all, the best 1 dayer that ive seen would have to be the first game of the 2003 world cup.Me and my brother stayed up all night, snuck into the lounge room and we were all pumped up for a big start! It was Windies Vs South Africa, We batted first and started so badly, we both cracked the shits pretty early. Then... Lara came in and hit a wonderful innings of 117, followed by some of the best late order knocks from Sarwan and Powell who put on about 80 off 35 balls.

We set a reasonable Total but we werent confident with our bowling line up that we'd do anything special. We started pretty well but it came down to Zulu! he started to hit sixes everywhere! we were both shittin ourselves, then Pedro Collins took a catch and walked over the line for Six. We thought it was all over! somehow we won narrowly.

The Best Test Match ive seen would have to be 1999 West Indies Vs Australia 3rd test at Bridgetown.

I watched the whole game at my uncles, every night we went over just to watch the cricket.

Australia put on near about 500 in their first innings, it didnt look good. i remember Steve Waugh dominating in the first innings. We started quite badly but Sherwin Cambell hit a century that kept us in with a slight chance. I think we were bowled out for around 330.

We needed something really special, and Courtney Walsh provided it, he took 5 fa and had support from every other bowler.

Needing 310 odd to win, we started ok then lost 3 quick wickets and the house's atmosphere had changed, all the aussie supporters givin it to us windies. Two more wickets followed and we were around 5-100.

It seemed all over and boy were we copping it from the others. they were singing and dancing but little did they know that the master was still in Very Happy

He shared a big partnership with jimmy adams and the game was evening out,Then McGrath put the game back in the aussies favour, he got threw Adam's defence and then Jacobs was plum lbw. and suddenly australia were back ontop. At 8-248 it was just a matter of time.. Ambrose made a brave 12 and gave us a sniff. Just as we thought we had them, Ambrose was caught in slip.

In came Walsh! we were all on the edge of our seats. it was amazing to watch. Somehow Walsh survived McGrath and Lara hit the winning wins. It was by far the best test match i had ever witnessed, not 1 match has ever come close to matching it.

Now your turn.. Razz

Best ODI game for me was Australia VS West Indies 1995/95 where Australia was in trouble and Bevan played a magic inninges to save the game for Australia.

Test Match: Australia Vs Pakistan 1998/99(?) at Bellerive Oval, Langer and Gilchirst reching an imposible target on the final day of the test to win.
