Aussies and India wait - Fox

AUSTRALIA and India will wait until inspecting a covered Gabba pitch tomorrow before selecting their teams for the one-day match in Brisbane.

Constant rain in Brisbane throughout the week is likely to see a seam-friendly wicket produced for the key VB Series clash.

The Aussies enter the match with a perfect 3-0 record following their 148-run win over the Zimbabwe in Hobart yesterday.

India has split its two matches and is determined to avenge the 18-run loss to Australia at the MCG last weekend.

Gabba ground staff may get their wish for another half a day's worth of sun to firm up the pitch with the weather forecasters expecting showers to clear tomorrow.

The tourists will consider adding left-armer Ashish Nehra to their pace attack while captain Sourav Ganguly admitted he may also bowl his own medium-pacers more.

"We'll have to have a look at the wicket, we honestly haven't had a chance to see it because it's been under covers," Ganguly said.

"We will have to see what the weather conditions are tomorrow."

Tendulkar is caught and bowled by Symonds for 88 from 95 balls.

2/147 with Laxman on 33 n.o. in the 29th. over.

The Aussies could be chasing 300. I hope so. Very Happy

Laxman brings up his century from the last ball with a four. 4/303.

If anyone can tell me how the hell Lee got to bowl his 10th. over and Williams had only bowled 8 overs, will they please reply. Williams had 1/40 from 8 overs and Lee had 0/70 from 9.

Unless Williams was injured, it was sheer stupidity. Lee is no longer the golden boy of Australian cricket and hasn't been for quite a while so why is he being given favourable treatment ??

How do they expect to win this game, let along the tournament playing this bloke. Don't wanna be a tall-poppy cutter, but blind-freddy can see that he's WAY out of form.

And don't start me on Damien Martyn either. He couldn't catch the pox, or score in a brothel with a fistfull of $50's.

What a slap in the face for Langer and Katich, both our only centurions in the last test. But noooooooooo.... can't upset "team balance"....

Hayden is on 98 and takes a 2. That's his first ODI ton in Australia.

Ooops. 1 short. He's on 99. Now 100.

4/191. 113 needed from 108 balls.

Hayden goes for 109 from 107 balls. An excellent knock which puts Australia right in this.

Run-a-ball needed and Clarke and Bevan at the wicket. Should be good. I hope JLC is watching.

Surely Martyns last game for Australia. It's beyond a joke for the guys waiting their chance outside the team.
