|
To all and sundry. We have decided to sell the motor home.
We have been forced to do so,as we are now settled in peak Hill and we now need the money.
If there are any PIES supporteres that want a self contained, fully independant motor home, then our Bedford Bus is on the market.
The price can be discussed if there is any interest.
This is now URGENT as my disability has got worse and I cant drive any more, and the wife cant and dosent like driving a vehicle that hass no power steering.
Look forward to some interest......just for this site sake I an seeking around the $27K mark for the old beast.
Is there any one out there insterested _________________ PeterWH VK2FPHR Membership No.248693

Piedys,What do you mean a one street town.
I dont live on the main street.
If you came from Dubbo,I live one street up from the Caravan park and my street goes for 2 kilometers.
Om the RHS of town there are a lot more streets,a court house,a police station,.swimming pool, another caravan park etc,.etc.etc.So you can see that is not a one street town. _________________ PeterWH VK2FPHR Membership No.248693

Yes, I drove from Dubbo. All i remember seeing in Peak Hill is the corner pub on the RHS, a couple of rows of shops and before that an auto-wreckers on the LHS. So no, i didn't actually get out of my air-conditioned car and wander around sight-seeing! I may very well have driven past those sights and not noticed them. I tend to look for speed limit signs, so i don't get any 8x10 glossys and a donation form in the mail!
cheers

Peydys,
Soory old man,but that WASNT Peak Hill.
The town that you went thru was in actual fact Tomingly.I recon that you should look properly.I recon that you didnt even get uder 100k thru there and its a 50 zone.
Any way I dont care.I just want to see this dam bus go.

Pete,
Please allow me to apologise for my dear mate Dyso.
You must understand that he is a man of simple tastes and the only things that will generate any concern to him whilst driving thru a country town is the availability of a pub and a petrol bowser.
Need I comment further on his refuelling process. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

D'OH!!
And will your donation go towards:
A) Politicians superannuation
B) Purchase of more speed cameras to STOP the road toll
C) Salary of inept magistrates who allow murderers out on bail to continue murdereing in the guise of crowd controllers in say, oh St.Kilda

P, Well if Peak Hill is on the Newell Highway then i drove through it. I have the road atlas open here with me as i write! And FYI i rolled through each town at 50, just like the signs ask. And i do hope you sell your bus too!

Keep it up wombat. ps, don't plan on having a sleep on the road when i'm driving through your neighbourhood, or you'll be crow-fodder. How does wombat pancake taste anyway?

Wombats frankly taste bloody awful Dyso, tougher than old boots in fact so have fun chowing down mate.
Be prepared for one great mother of a repair bill after you run over the next full grown wombat. Somewhat like the effects of running over a rather large cement block plus the quotient of yr speed at the time. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

Yes, i've heard of these horror stories. Perhaps the TOGGIES could employ your kind as road blocks during high-speed highway pursuits etc? Would save the average tax-payer a fortune in artificial baracades! heh-heh.

yes i love donating so much thats the third one in 6 months pfft.
first one was fair enough 77 in a 60 zone, coulda got off prolly if i had have told them WHY i was speedin, but no, i would rather pay 200 bucks to them them grovel.
2nd one was a crock 4ks over in a 60 zone
3rd one was 6ks over in a 80 zone, another crock if u ask me.
its not like they put the money back into the roads or even into a new ICU or something, to lower the road toll, but no, that would be sensible.

What is your window of appeal these days as far as the accuracy of their radars go? Is it give or take 3kph in a 60 zone, or all zones or what?

Well, correct me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn this topic (the first post anyway) was about a certain motorhome for sale.
I was going to suggest Dyso, wombat and CQ take their little chat to msn or similar but Pete seems to be going along with it so who am I to spoil anyone's fun ? _________________ Donny.
