After 8 overs, India are on 1/36.

Lee claimed Ganguly with his third ball. A much better start and now has 1/18 from 4 overs. Only 1 no ball and 3 wides.

3/100 from 20 overs.

Laxman is 42 n.o. Lee, Gillespie and Bichel have a wicket each.

Sorry folks. I've been in the creek. So hot here.

Yuvraj and Laxy are entertaining the crowd at the SCG. They have added 185 with Yuvraj on 117 n.o. and Laxman on 99 n.o.

Facing Harvey. Takes a single for back to back hundreds against Australia. 3/266 with 2 overs to come.

The Indian batsman are fantastic but the Australian attack is pretty ordinary. They dont have a world class spinner like Warne and are missing McGrath.

Whats Brad Williams done wrong ?? He takes wickets and he doesnt get picked........You bad boy Brad!!!

I also hope that Katich is kept in the squad as its a bit unfair to bring him into the team and bat him out of position. Ridiculous.

What odds for Bevan or Martyn to be the saviour tonight ??

Any takers ??

A good move would be to try and save Symonds for the end as Australia struggles to hit boundaries in the latter overs. Bevan is good in SMALL run chases where he can bat like a pedestrian and get the team home. In big totals his effectiveness must be questionable.

Yeah, I'm in.

Dunno about saviour but if Gilly doesn't play a matchwinner, I'll go for Marto or Bevan.

Katich has been batting at or near the top of the order in domestic cricket so not sure that yr out of position remark is accurate. Will see how he goes??

Think they'll be resting some of the quicks going into the finals so that would explain Williams game out.

Agree with you that Bevan is looking at collecting his superannuation and not before time.

Well, Gilly's on his merry way. 42 runs from 25 balls.

After 7 overs, Australia is 1/60.

Why do they need to rest Williams..........the poor bastard never plays in the first place........lol

This is way too big a total for Bevan to be effective. Martyn will go out to another soft dismissal no doubt.

It's 1/73 in the 10th. over as the rain comes tumbling down.

If the Duckworth/Lewis comes into play, Australia are in good shape at near 8 r.p.o.

Damn this rain!! Im in sydney and its pissing down. b4 that gilly was flogging the indian attack all over the ground, run rate was at 8+ vs a required of 5.5 or something. hope it stops but looking out my window doesnt look promising!!!

We need a huge innings from gilly and from ricky, they both need to get 100s if we r to catch the indians.

I cant beleive that our bowlings become so crap with the loss of 2 players. Even in the Tests we havent been able to bowl this Indian team out. surely McGrath and Warne arent that critical to the team that we cant restrict teams to below 250 now?? Warney wasnt in SA for the WC and we seemed to do ok, without Gillespie too...i concede that we havent got McGrath and Warne but surely the other boys like Bickel, Harvey etc need to step up. Lee's been bowling shockers although today he was one of the few who took wickets and went for less than 6 runs per over

I thought the Ducksworth/Lewis thing didn't come into play until 25 overs have been bowled in the innings? Would be a shame if the game ends like that, I was hoping to see a good run chase.
