A cheap shot AND an attempt at humour. That's not like you MG.
It goes with Howard's arsehole transplant.

Short memories on the net. Running a smear campaign by attempting to degrade people over their personal misfortune is low.

Elections should be fought on issues, policy statements, idealogy and conduct.

Let's not throw the babies overboard with the bathwater.

We're touchy? Have a read of your posts MG. I stuck up for you time after time. I even tried to explain why you shouldn't react the way you do to people who disagree with you. Your usual reaction to anything in opposition to your posts is to attack the poster. This would have been in a PM but I see you have put me on your disallow list.

Sounds like industrial sabotage! Seeing this is a dispute about politics, can we call MG's planted "mole" our very own "NickGate"?

About as left as Skanderbeg, King Zog and Sali Berisha MG, but you knew that already.

Take out my reference to elections and the terms of reference of the post still stand.

Magpie Greg, Collingwood isn't a place for conservatives. We are a club of spirit and hope.

Keating said it best:

"The trouble with the Liberal party is that they're all fogeys. Old fogeys. Young fogeys. Middle-aged fogeys. But nevertheless, 24-carat fogeys."

Hopefully the majority of Australian's have half a brain and realise the damage a Labor Government would do to this country.

The only administrative position Latham has ever held was as a local council mayor and when he left the place he left a significant debt behind him. This is supposed to be our next PM? Geez. He continues to lie about this even when the audited accounts prove how incompetent and irresponsible he was. So a man who can't even run a local council should be entrusted with the Australian economy?

What was the HS poll? I think there were about 5% more liberal voters than labor voters who barrack for Collingwood. And you can have spirit and hope as well as having conservative values.

Hey Birdy did you ever see Howard's record as Treasurer in the Fraser government?

Record levels of Stagflation and a completely impotent economy ---> NOW THAT TAKES SKILL

The biggest myth in Australian Politics is that the conservatives are better equipped to handle the economy. Howard and Costello have benefited from the fact that the timing of their government has coincided with the timing of the expansionary phase of our current business cycle. I don't want to bore people with economics but it's absolute claptrap to suggest that the Liberals are the reason our economy is so strong (which in itself is being questioned at the moment anyway).

Hah a Herald Sun poll. Maybe they should have conducted it at the final game at Victoria Park. I wonder what the poll result would have been if they had done it there?

MG, I was using Howard's extremely poor record as Treasurer to reject Birdy's suggestion that to be Prime Minister of this country you need a good economic record.

Secondly, I am more than happy to admit that Labor have handled the economy poorly in the past. But so have the Liberals. I'm also more than willing to say both sides of politics have done good things for our economy. What is myth is that the liberals are better equipped to handle the economy, and the reason that the economy in itself is so 'strong' is because of the current Liberal government.

Finally, your totally right, that dicky Herald Sun poll is hard evidence that Collingwood is a club for blue bloods. I'll just have to cop it on the chin and go and join my working class mates at Carlton.
