I thought they were separate entities (although obviously connected) and that's what I was pointing out.

Geez there's some precious souls around this place...
One of the many reasons why I only occasionally visit this place is the underlying heirarchy, back-slapping and brown-nosing.
I appreciate that Joel and others put time and effort into this 'community' (sounds like satanic cult) and I didn't seek to undermine, snipe or anger anyone. It was a simple joke thread, born out of boredom. As expected, there was a plethora of precious posters stomping feet and shaking fists, which was rather amusing.
...and I thought us Collingwood folk had thick skins.

Disagree Zeke, and if you know what goes on in the mods forum you'd agree with me. The mods - who are part of this heirarchy that you refer to - often disagree, and as much as people might not believe it, it is true. But as should be the case, the majority rules.
If you were referring to me, I dont know where the f#$@ you get that from, because I'm not one to tread softly, and I don't mix words.
Like Tess said, if you want to see brown nosing head over to 365, I was banned from that place because I pretty much told the admin to contact Steve in regards to a query about the website, when I was contacted in regards to it (and was told that I MUST tell Steve to contact them - which wasn't my responsibility seeing as though I didn't initiate contact). Now how pathetic is that?
All you have to do over there is suck up to the mods etc and you become a mod.

We can get very precious when it seems we are being attacked, the way people reacted in this thread was understandable. |
