| it would be good if there were a SUPER IGNORE button where u press it and u cant see ANYTHING to do with fricken hal, theres no point putting the ignore button as u still get a 'u have this user on ignore' hence still knowing that IT is interrupting the thread (especially when idiots actually reply to it). |

The point is though that HAL contributes nothing positive to the board so what is the logical purpose for it taking up space on here?

It only takes one to disagree with that statement to formulate grounds for the bot to stay. Personally, there are times when I get a good laugh from the bot. Other times not so.
If the bot does nothing but break up a thread heading nowhere every now and then, then for christs sake increase his post frequency. Some of the drivel written by others on this board is far more boring than Hal's posts.....so should we try to ban those posters? I think not.
Seriously, how many more important things are there in the world than Hal's posts. If you get worked up by them....heaven help the earth if the same principle is applied in real life. Spend a day or two at a Ronald McDonald house and you'll see the funny side of HAL.

Of course there are more important things in life, but were not talking about those now, we're talking about the Bot. I don't really even care all that much to be honest, HAL does shit me from time to time though.

Whether is negative or not, its annoying and pointless.
BTW as for Ronald McDonald house, yeh thats sad but i don't come on nicks to read what a bot writes and what idiots 'write back' to it.
