Hehe......your worst nightmare, an all labor Australia, averted MG.
Well done to the Little monkey. A huge effort to not only win 4 in a row, but increase the majority.
5 in a row can only be achieved if he keeps Costello hidden like he did this year. |

Don't ever associate the Liberals with Collingwood!
They are indeed the Carlton of Australian politics. A mob who think they are born to rule this great country. With the wealthy and the media always in their back pockets. And in their leader, they possess the true epitome of human scum.
The most deceitful, dishonest little grub this country has ever had the misfortune to be burdened with.
Rack up another win for the politics of fear and ignorance and the moron majority of Australians.
Aahh, that feels a little better to get off my chest.
Now back to the only reason I come on to this site..........the Pies. _________________ Hearing the 'Black & White Army' roar is the greatest sound in the world. |

I love it!
Watching channel 9 last night and Labor are making excuses for losing AGAIN!
Face it people of Australia are happy with the Strong economy and Low interest rates and a Leader who sticks to what he believes in. Call him a liar all you want but he doesnt make extreme promises to Labor heartland and then spit on them like Steve Bracks did to Liberal heartland of Eastern Melbourne in the last election. Eastern Melbourne last night spat back at Bracks! No Tolls you Dickhead!
Michael Kroger should be a comedian, he kept me entertained last night with his comebacks to scum like Wayne Swan.
Thank god the result went the way it did, can you imagine the whole country with labor governments with no conservative influence? |

creedy, just on the tolls.
Can you tell me, being a country boy, what happened to the Tullamarine "Freeway"?
I'm interested to know. |

Yes but Kennett didnt go to an election promising that it would stay a free way.
I have no problem with Citylink, its the greatest road system in this country and all along people knew it was going to have tolls, it wasnt popular but that was it!
Steve Bracks went to the last election with the promise that the Scoresby FREEWAY would be fully funded and not tolls with the help of $450m from John Howard. When he won the electon with a landslide (mainly from a very srong showing from Liberal heartland of eastern Melbourne) he than spat in the face of eastern Melbourne for trusting him.
That is why Labor had a big swing against them in seats like Deakin, Aston,Latrobe and even Holt which is one of Labors most safe seats which includes Dandenong and Noble Park.
Tolls were always on the cards but Bracks thought he would lie to get a bigger majority, say what you like about Howard and the GST but told the truth about it before going to an election. He almost lost that election but you have to respect him for giving the country to decide if we wanted it or not!
Bracks needs to look at what happened last night and do the respectable thing and give the eastern suburbs what he promised them. And if you think it effects me your wrong i live in Pakenham and work in Warragul so i would hardly drive on it anyway. |

Don't get me wrong.
As a country person I love the fact that we do not have to pay to upgrade Melbournes woeful road network.
The only problem with your argument about Bracks going to an election promising no tolls, is that neither he nor the labour party, nor the public actually expected him to win! |
