Personal stuff should only really be posted in the Bored Board, if at all.
As CQ said, anybody can sign up in 5 minutes anyway to Nick's BB so it doesnt really matter.....

Simple fact is that many "visitors" come to Nicks.
Most are not Collingwood people.
VPT is a place for us to discuss more topical and recalcitrant topics.
I like to think that when we do post our views on these "other than football" topics, we are doing so amongst people that we are familiar with.
I'm with Tess, lock it to members only.
After all, it's just one forum. |

I agree with those that say it's easy enough for anyone to just register anyway. If you're concerned about sharing personal information, then the net isn't really the best place to do it.

| I was also about to post in GD about VPT being open a few days ago, after looking at it on a 'puter that had never been to magpies.net before, but saw the confirmation from LD, so didn't bother. |

I find the forum a good source of public debate.
Whilst I am happy to see it opened up to all, I would hope if it was attacked or abused it could again become only open to members. |
