HOW WAS WIMBLEDON

I am once again I have got the travel bug but more for
Work this time and I am jetting out of Melbourne on
May 8th to London via Kuala Lumper for a stop over.
But this time around I am going for work initially as
Last time was out and out touring which was fantastic
On the Contiki scanddi and Russia something I will
Remember for a long time yet. To all the fellow
Conitkians Thanks for the memories but many more to
Come.
At the moment I am in the midst of getting every thing
Organized I ve obtained my work visa in person from
The British high commiss in Canberra, all ready got
air ticket, organinsed a UK bank account before I go
And the most important of all travel insurance I
Actually won a 12 month travel insurance package and I
can extend up to 3 months free also if I apply for an
extension in a travel and backpacker expo in
Melbourne how great is that.
I just can't wait to see you all in London who I did
Contiki with and I guess know that I have a work visa
There I will feel more like at home and more settled.
Can anyone give me some advice on sharing
accommodation

And how to go about seeking shared apartments thanks.
I have some family friends of a friend who run a pub
Called the railway tavern which is near the bethal
Green and Stephanie green tube in
London i ve been there before and the pubs
Great the railway tavern even has pub dart
tournaments! I must say that I am getting the hang of
the darts it’s a great social pub game to play and
they have offered me some accommodation which is
handy. I
Also like the Shepard’s bush, Acton, paddington,
st.johns
Wood, clapham, willeden green, Hammersmith, high bury
and Putney areas I also like around arsenal like the
old cherry tree line streets and classical terraces.
Last time I was in London I checked out the walkabout
pubs which are a great place to rub shoulders with
expats and travelers alike I also headed out to
Shepard’s bush there also and its such a large pub its
more like beer and entertainment hall with plenty of
great fun and sport on every TV and a big screen
there. I think I had a kangaroo burger and a vb there
followed by a kronenburg so a mix of Australia and
Europe.
But I haven't been to half of
The areas of London been such a large city. So there’s
a lot more to see and discover when I am there.
In London last time (December 2004 and early Jan
2005) I stayed at the Astor Vic hostel in one of the
Most beautiful parts of London in Belgravia is style
And is only around the corner from the Victoria
Station it was so close to every thing.
I loved the tube and hey I will be a regular user of
It soon.
The type of work I am seeking to get into is
Retailing, travel and tourism and hospitality.
The Destination London group here In Melbourne are
Helping me with my career prospects which is grand.
I am also when I arrive pursuing work as a steward at
Lords Cricket ground during the up coming cricket
Season so that should be exciting. Adam Gilchrists
Brother Glenn coached our school team at Marist
Brothers in Sydney so I wonder if he is going over for
The Ashes. Should bee a brilliant summer over there
with so much going on.
While I am in London I will try and visit and maybe
become a member of one of the most fascinating game
there is and that’s Royal or Real Tennis been in
London there are plenty of clubs there and I am a
member of the Royal Melbourne tennis club so that will
put me in good stead for the game as I know a lot
about the rules and etiquette of the game also its
very social. I will try to become a member of Lords,
Queens and various other clubs it’s a game that you
need to see it to believe it.
Once again I would love to catch up and have some
Drinks with. So cheers.

All the best Big Fella. Have a good time and make sure you're in Islington on May 22nd for the big street parade after another FA Cup makes its way to Highbury.
