i think he did a good job tonight, made some mistakes that may be expected from a young kid, but tagged both Goodwin and Burton...did better on the bird man but i thought his mark and run in the last quarter was fanastic...i actually thought it was clement until he started running. very pleased with him, should improve and be a player in the coming years. your thought?
p.s. loved pendles body work on A. McLeod....and his work through traffic...good kid...lol _________________ Collingwood forever and ever...amen |

Looks like he is going to be a very solid 200+ game player for us! At the end of the day, some carry on as if every player we have drafted are going to be superstars of the game!
You can see that players like Pendles and Heath do have those superstar qualities where players like Tooves and Bryan are going to do a job week in week out. All players are different! |

I think Toovey should play more of a defensive role than attacking...but then use his pace to work off his opponent. I dont see him as a forward but i think he could become a very solid tagger/bank flanker for us _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

Tooves provided one of three real highlights for me on the night. That mark running back was pure courage and nerve, and the confidence shown to run off his man belied his inexperience.
The other two involved Pendles, the outpositioning of Mcleod for a great mark and the one hand pick up, sidestep and then steady for a pinpoint pass was mesmerising.
Gosh it's hard not to be excited. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

The thing I like about Toovey, which some people may have not noticed is the way he marks the ball in a contested situation.
At the point of contact with his opponent, he always sticks his backside out in a jolting motion, just enough to keep his opponents fist from the ball. He does this better than anyone ive seen. _________________ Side By Side We Stick TOGETHER.............. |

Love the fact that he has great inside skills... very good pace vs height.. his attack on the footy is ferocious... has been from his first game! When he fills out a bit, with his pace and height... will be a great tagger/run with player.
Kudos to the recruiting dept for spotting Tooves & Cox in a year that a lot of us thought going for Campo would be a good idea! _________________ Assistant Coach # 23,738 |

he was beaten by Goodwin and beaten by Burgoyne but hey, the amount he would learn from two of the premier mids in the game is just priceless. He would be learning about positioning, when to go and when not to ect.
Hes gonna make some mistakes and have some kicks on him but give it time and let this year be a learning curve for him. He will be a gem. |

i think he would have been an ideal matchup for Kouta. Got the height, pace, probably not the muscel but a match up on Murphy wouldnt suprise me |
