A newspaper report stated that John Birt, Membership Manager, will finish in his role next Friday. His contract is not being renewed.

I was at a meeting which John attended on Thursday Night. He did not mention his imminent departure, presumably because it was not public at that stage. It is a tribute to his personal integrity and loyaly to his employer that he attended to his duties so professionally during the meeting. Good Luck John.

At the meeting one of the topics he covered was the plans for the new social club and seating arrangements at the MCG. The will be the envy of the league if they come off.
