COLLINGWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
**************************************************************
The premiership season may not start for another week or two, but it is certainly beginning to look like the Pies are well on their way to being ready to take on the rest of the league. After a convincing thumping of Fremantle two weeks ago, new coach Mick Malthouse took on his old team West Coast last Saturday at Jock McHale Stadium and ended the day with a more than satisfying 27 point win. You can catch the complete match details of the senior game and the reserves' nail biting draw with Geelong on the website this week at http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/FootballNews/football_news19.htm, as well as having an exclusive look into the rooms after the big game at
http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/FootballNews/football_news20.htm .

The Collingwood Football Club can boast some of the most passionate, interesting and individual supporters in the world, and it also has its fair share of famous and talented supporters. Joining this list is world class English cricketer Ian Botham, who recently became a member of the club and was presented his own Magpie guernsey by vice captain Scott Burns. For the full story and all the pictures, visit :

Make sure you check out this week's Collingwood History column. throughout the season, we will be reviewing the footballing careers of some of Collingwood's greatest players and characters. This week we take a look at Magpie great Wayne Richardson, at :

Don't forget to keep sending in your Master Class questions about training, fitness, rehabilitation, skills, positions, or anything else you may have always wanted to know about in detail. Each week or two, we will choose a question, and have one of our expert staff members at the club answer it for you.

This week's practice match is to be played in Canberra on Saturday the 26th against the Sydney Swans. Hopefully the Pies will make it three in a row to prove that they are well and truly ready for the start of the Premiership Season.
