I like the team you have made. I think its hard to do becaues there are so may players and there could still be a problem of having too many forward players. I remember borrowing AFL 99 on the playstation and trying to put players in possitions. I remember thinking "now where can I put....."
oh well I think we will do a lot better this season even though I think we have too many forwards still.
Go Pies

just had to say that with guns like leon davis, rhyce shaw and damien adkins coming thru the ranks patterson wont be getting much of a go in the seniors as he will made to look second rate by these guys.

Neil

The new site started to come up this afternoon and it's up and running now.

Try refreshing the page, hold down the Shift key while you do it and that will force the new page into proxies that may holding on to the old one.

i like the look of wazza on the wing. beautiful. it's his natural position. but i think you should fit orchard and lockyer in there somewhere, and frankly richo is a necessary player in terms of experience.

D'Pie, there is a saying that I am particularly fond of. It goes like this: "Insanity is making the same mistakes and expecting different results".

A.Rocca at Centre Half Forward !!
S.Rocca at Full Forward !!!

Another wooden spoon, anyone?

My suggestion:
A.Rocca to Centre Half Back
S.Rocca to Carlton

shit yeah i forgot about them Roccas. Send em both to Carlton i say. Pies can't put up with any more crucial goals being missed especially coz of Anthony! He makes me absolutely sick sometimes!

Magpie Greg, I have repented of rejecting Tarkyn Lockyer. You're right, he has great kicking skills and did well in his first season. I cannot find a spot for him, though. Nick Davis is an even better kick-out from the goal square than Lockyer.

In response to Magpie Greg, I should have commented on his comparison of Lockyer and Wasley. "Wazza" might kick a few metres shorter than Tarkyn, but he would have made a 20 metre burst before disposal. I reckon he's going to be as dashing as Ricky Barham, worth going a long way to see.

Prediction for Round 15:

"Could it be that we are about to see history in the making? A hush has come over this crowd as Big Sav lines up for his 100th goal of the season... 45 metres out ... a slight angle ... In he comes ... and, yes, he's got on to this ... It's a beautiful kick ... It's straight ... It's long ... It's a goal ! Sav Rocca has kicked his 100th goal of the season ... The crowd is going berserk ... The black and white army are storming on to the arena ... And don't the Sandringham players look devastated !"

All you Rocca noccas !

Do you guys have any football brains at all !
Sav and Pebbles are assets to the Pies. If they are guided correctly, can be world beaters. Although Pebbles is a bit claustrophobic when he is close to goal, is a good a kick as any. His only problem is that he pulls his kick when in close range. He should be able to resolve that issue. He isn't that bad in the backline too !
As for Sav - a potential (isn't potential a bad word...) 100K goal kicker if fully fit. Don't forget he has had a dicky knee recently (hence the op) and also shoulder problems. The gentle giant will soon awake from his slumber and look out !
