Older woman who works for me had a day off today. She sent me a couple of texts in the morning to see how I was which was nice of her.

Then in the afternoon I got a text from her that she'd just had a shower and some more detail about how clean she was.

I read the text thinking WTF, I think she may have sent this by mistake, when the phone rang. Yep, she sent me the text by mistake, was meant for someone else and would I please delete it. How Embarrassment.

In between laughing, I assured her I'd delete it (which I did)

I hope she enjoyed date arvo. Wink

What's the facebook thing??

My version of 'me too' people are people who've always had the same thing happen to them, for example:

I got divorced - I got divorced too
I had a miscarriage - I've had a miscarriage too
My neighbour got shot - I know someone who was shot too

I always think these people lead such boring lives that they have to cling on to something that's happened to someone else. Shouldn't make me laugh I guess, it's a bit sad really.

But what IS the facebook thing?

Oh, right – I thought you were referring to the social media hashtag, in which women (and some men) have been using the phrase to refer to experiences of sexual harassment and assault. Sounds like I was way off the mark!

They're only examples as I mentioned, sorry to hear about your miscarriage though, upsetting aren't they Sad

Other examples might be:
I was made redundant - I was made redundant once too
My friend has cancer - someone I know has cancer too
I'm getting a pool - I had a pool once
I hate lawyers - I hate lawyers too

(last one is just for you P4S, just to see if you're paying attention Wink)

ah well now that the field has been widened: i reckon a fair percentage of people in Australia have been made redundant in the past few years unfortunately, its good to share stories as its nice to know you can come out the other side.
And you''d be a lucky person not to know someone with cancer these days.
still have the pool, about to take a dip,
personally i like lawyers, that could come from never being on the wrong side of one though!

I quite like most of the lawyers I've met over the journey, they're fun to argue with.

I also like lawyer jokes. Razz

First the wash, then the spit and polish later.

Went to the 100 steps & was taking a pic of the cargo ship.
couldnt even see the birds without the lens!
Little ol man comes up, he had binoculars,
"can you see the birds?"
long story short, i know his life story! cool dude,
"came out from England in 53, born in 40, went back last year and was blessed to see a spitfire take off at an old Airforce base!"
i get home and say to Junior
"im a little old man magnet"'
She says "maybe its because your flys undone!!''
oops!

The Guardian never fails to deliver. I'm not sure whether this is a sophisticated self-parody of comment-is-free articles, or just the real thing in its purest form:
