Daughter came over for the night, I'm on the computer, she's taken over the foxtel remote.
Bon Jovi unplugged on MTV Classic. Coming up next is a Pink Floyd bit.
Just watched bon jovi do "Hallelulah:, and not bad. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I'm listening to the Hits' album from late last year, Living With You Is Killing Me - THE best rock & roll album to come out of Brisbane since the Saints' (I'm) Stranded and the most unrelenting set of anthems I've heard since AC/DC last had it up.
I liked it so much, I've gone halves with their record label to get a pressing of 300 vinyl copies done!

I have discovered digital radio. I have been listening to modern music on ABC Dig, Country music on ABC Country and Jazz on ABC Jazz. All music, no talk, no advertising, no moronic DJs. I am actually marking student essays and using the radio as background but it is vastly superior background to the crap I've had delivered to me for most of my life. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |

I'm so Top 40 80s pop retro, new wave or Oz pub rock it's embarrassing.
The Cars and Talking Heads. Gotta' love their great 80s music vids, too. _________________ In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

You may find yourself, pietillidie, in a beautiful house! With a beautiful wife! Etc.
Sorry, that's the first thing that came to mind.
As for me, Tame Impala - Innerspeaker is pretty awesome. Bit Pink Floyd, bit late Beatles (I'm sure MG would be able to tell us which it resembles more closely! ), probably the best album I've heard this year. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Is here any chance of that?
As long as the aussies are bundled out quickly, I'll be a happy man. |

There are also some great podcasts around if your tastes run to the more obscure Doctor. Not knowing your academic interests I can't say for sure, but iTunesU carries an unbelievably diverse range of subject matter and I am sure there would be items of interest for you. _________________ Black. Been punishing my ear and pleasuring my senses listening to AC/DC the last few days.
In particular two of my favourite songs TNT and Thunderstruck
Just love listening to the vocals of Bon "The God of Rock" Scott (RIP ) in TNT.
Now for Thunderstruck. Love the song, but I loooooooooooove the guitar riff in the middle of the song with Angus, Malcolm and Cliff trying their damnedest to tear a hole in the universe while making sweet love to their instruments.
I must also say that this song scored a very unsatisfactory 90th position on a 100 Greatest Rock Guitar Riffs site I recently found:

Click on the Hits link in my post above OEP. Betting you'll dig it, if you can take listening to it through tinny computer speakers.
As for AC/DC, I'd go for the Whole Lotta Rosie riff. Where did that one rate?
Edit: NO Whole Lotta Rosie on that list?! Shame!!!

That one didn't even make the top 200. _________________ A Collingwood supporter since the egg was inseminated. |

My computer speakers aren't tinny, the mini sub rattles the floor.
I'll take whole lot of Rosie and raise you Highway to Hell. Very very basic but damn, it has recognition factor.
