Whilst totally agreeing with David and RR, it simply fascinates me HOW the hell they shoot those car chase sequences.

One of the most well known ones was in Bullitt (Steve McQueen). The chase lasted nearly 11 minutes. The Blues Bros chase also comes to mind. At the time of the film's release, it held the world record for the most cars destroyed in one film until it was surpassed by its own sequel. Smile

nothing like a good car chase. just love Gone in 60 seconcds.

but what they do to the Shelby is a crime!!

loved Bullitt but then loved most Steve McQueen stuff.

then there is Smokey and the Bandit,

pretty much any San franscisco car chase is good, even the one in The Rock, when they smash into the tram, and out of the car park window. (or was that fast and the furious?)

Dunno about all time, but I watched 'Hunger games' tonight.

Very not bad. Reminds me of a compilation including running man.

Yeah I thought it leaned pretty heavily on the Running Man, just with kids and no gladiators!

I ll certainly see the next one.

Makes you wonder where the ideas come from, not a nice premise at all!!

Good choices on 6, 9 and 10. Haven't seen any of your top 5! Embarassed

Kurosawa's your favourite director, I take it? Smile

I introduced Shelbs to that movie earlier this year. Last weekend was Bad Boy Bubby.

I think this put me into the "Bad Mother" catergory. Cool

I can't really separate Kurosawa and Ray. I could have listed a dozen films by either of them anywhere from 2 to 10.

As for my number 1, I guess I have seen that on the big screen several hundred times - somehow, it just never pales or gets tired from where I am sitting. And its role as an educational tool on the small screen shouldn't be under-estimated - both my children were weaned off the Wiggles and the Hooley-Dooleys by repeated doses of Aunty Aretha and Uncle Ray. And Cousin James - well, as Jake says: "Jesus-H-God-blasted-Christ, I have seen The Light".

Seriously David?? Never seen it?? Ever?? Shocked

I'm pretty sure the quote above is "Jesus H Tap Dancing Christ, I have seen the light" Laughing

Another one that makes me laugh is the lead in to the ruler slapping -
"Well then, I guess you're really up shit creek"
"I beg your pardon, what did you say?"
"I offered to help you..."
"Mhm"
"You refused to take our money."
"Mhm"
"Then I said- I guess you're really up Shit Creek"

David - just watch it!! Don't even get me started on the "4 whole fried chickens and a Coke" part!! ROFLMAO
