Yeah, I heard the same interview.
He actually said that they started the game with "Plan A" but that it didn't work THIS WEEK. PLan A was referring to the rotation of players through the different possies - Tuckey swapping with Sav at FF, Pebbles swapping with Fraser in Ruck, etc - whereas Plan B is the more traditional sav at FF, Pebbles at CHF, Fraser (or whoever is specialist ruck) in ruck, Bucks in midfield.
What he was pleased with was that the young blokes were able to successfully change mind-set and game plan to use Plan B and WIN the game, not just hang their heads when Plan A wasn't working.
It's a great indication that the youngsters' skills are complemented by growing mental strength. |
