The Alternative Table
This is the one where all of your votes count. Players are awarded a proportion of the 15 votes per game depending on how many votes they received. This table rewards the little guy, as well as the little voter. So no-one gave Toovey a vote in the main award? This one gives him a better chance.

The Anti-Brownlow Table
This table is weighted towards backmen and is a bit of a joke!
Midfielders receive 75% of their vote. Ruckmen & Forwards 125% and Backs 200%.

0.58 Young
0.28 Williams

Side by Side Comparison of Top 10 in the Awards
The discrepancy between Pendles and Swan's results are huge. I went back and checked my figures and it appears to be correct. The reason - that Swan polls votes in every game that he plays, while Pendlebury is brilliant in more games. Minor placings interesting as well.

Yeah, Beams but I think Swan will get close. His possession count gets overrated imo.

I think the opposite.

A bit like Pendles, he only votes if he racks up 35 or more disposals. They have both set the bar so high.

I paid particular attention, last game, to what Swanny does when he doesn't have the ball. He, like Ablett, doesn't fluke getting the ball. He makes great position. His speed to get to a contest or to receive is awesome.

No. In honour of a Pies champ and Premiership player.

We obviously see things differently then, Donny. Against Essendon I saw a fair bit of waiting around packs for the ball to spill out and a general unwillingness to go in and get the hard ball, which was really annoying. I thought his disposal was also a bit sloppy. Apart from that he did do some great things but imo not enough to earn BOG as some voted.

Im sure we all see things differenty. I always base my votes on what I saw (usually at the game) and vote accordingly but I always make a point to check the dream team/super coach points and see how many have based their votes on these.

^ yeah, for sure mate. I usually have the best 2 or 3 in my head that I won't budge on but sometimes it's difficult to look or remember beyond that so I'll look at the stats to help jolt the memory a little
