Some Really Bad things that Stuck out to me:
Backline was Terrible. Loose all the Time and They barley hit a Target
Blair did Nothing
Cloke Kicked a Goal but had no Impact else
Cox started well but Well Beaten when Rance went on him
Treloar had a Shocker. Kicking was Terrible and Ran 1 way
Pendles had his worst game for as long as I can Remember.
We had worst Forward Line Possibly we could of had
Adams playing HBF was Stupid Idea
Reid played like a Millioare and Got Burned for that. Terrible
Lack of Intensity Stood out Badly _________________ I am Da Man |

If Pendles had stayed healthy we would have won... he was in everything in the last qtr and the tide had turned but when he was injured the game turned back their way.
Of course the lack of pressure and physical space we gave them all night was terrible. Then our own lack of composure going forward compounded our poor defensive efforts...
I knew Cox and Blair was a serious downgrade from Moore and De Goey... surely De Goey offers a lot more? I don't get the De Goey hate - he brings an intensity that was clearly missing in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs especially.
Crocker, Marsh, Greenwood and Willo also joined Blair and had absolute shockers...!
The fact we were still in the game shows how poor the Tigers are - but they clearly worked harder for the win...
Pies highlights include Aish - a 200 game champ easy... Grundy continues to improve around the ground... Wills was pretty good and could join Thomas as a very valuable accumulator for a newbie. _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

Reason I ask is because the not one of the three groups seems to have any idea of what the other two are doing. Mids get the ball and have no idea where the forwards are, and forwards have no idea where the mids are going to kick it.
Since Rd 1 we have nearly every week commented that they are disorganised, and that is still the case. There is no structure. The mids have no idea where Cloke is and Cloke seems to have no idea about where the mids expect him to be. Blair should be scouting the pack for Cloke to bring it down but if Cloke is not bringing it down then Blair goes ball-hunting.
For two very experienced backmen, Reid and Brown need their bums kicked for the elementary mistakes they make. Frost was dropped for less. Lordy, you could write a thesis on how not to play the game and use tonight's match to illustrate every point.
Not just appalling, but embarrassing. Like watching the Little League. |
GG, this is SO on the money, that it's frightening...

Never ending butchering of the football, the fumbles, the missed handballs, the shocking turnovers by foot, the horrible decision making, the dropped marks, the loose tackles, the poor defending, the lack of forward pressure, the mindless playing on and stuffing it up...it goes on and on and on. Face it folks, this team really isn't getting better. Poor sides are capable of a good win here and there but we have got nothing to give on a week by week basis, our performances are just all over the shop. Horrible, horrible stuff. For shame! |

Today we reverted to the very darkest days of the early part of this season, where we guarded space and had no idea who was responsible for which Richmond player. There is a complete absence of synchronization between our midfield and our forward line.
Our delivery into forward 50 and our general field kicking was abysmal, far inferior to Richmonds.
why was our style of play so utterly different from last week, when we locked on our opponents, guarded the man, and fought for the contested ball so ferociously?
Did our coaches actually instruct our guys to revert to that dumb zoning sh**?? Is this possible in the real world?
This game was a real indictment. An indictment of the coaching strategy and an indictment of the abysmal level of kicking skills that our coaches have not addressed in the last 2 to 3 years.
Step back and look at the broad sweep. We have made no progress over the last 2 years. The wins against Top 8 sides this year have been more than negated by pathetic performances against very mediocre opposition such as tonight. One gets teh feeling that a Bolton or a Richardson would have had this team performing far better than what we are witnessing right now. |
I can't understand why we went back to the shitty zone this week, why? |
Great question....why did we go back to the zoning??? _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Which begs the question...why was our midfield seriously weakened by getting rid of De Goey? I am not an AFL coach, by a long shot, but surely it was obvous that last week our midfield was what won the game.
We voluntarily weakened it at selection. I know it is easy to speak in retrospect, but professional AFL coaches should be able to anticpate things more clearly than me. Surely it was clear that, with the absence of a small ground level crumbing forward, we needed midfield pressure in our F50 as a substitute. De Goey was the man, because he applies significant tackling pressure as well.
The reversion to dumb zoning was another example of the iincomprehensible decision making that has haunted us under Buckley's tenure.
I am really, really upset and frustrated with the dumb sh** i witnessed tonight. |

What has to happen for us to get a new coach?
How many times/years do we have to show this type of disorganisation?
What is with the handball happy patches off HB then kick under pressure?
WE WILL NOT MAKE FINALS UNDER THIS COACHING REGIME. |

A pathetic effort by a club with $90,000,000 in annual turnover! Employ a phucking:
* skills coach
* ruck coach
* goal kicking coach
* and a "player termination" coach whose first job is to say bye bye to:
1. Cloke
2. Marley
3. Brown
4. Blair
5. Toovey
6. Crocker
7. White
8. Macaffer
9. Witts
10. Gault
We play a 1989 forward line that are as slow as the QE2 and TOLERATE dud kicks and disposers of the ball!!!!!! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Someone explain to me why opposition teams seem to do the switching of play across the ground so easily?? They had a free run down the far side of the ground every time they switched the play. This has happened so many times over the last couple of years and no doubt all clubs look at Collingwood and use this tactic. It's so predictable. Unless we bring a high pressure game to the table this happens. I don't get it. Please explain!!!!! _________________ Living in Geelong, barracking for the 'pies! |

The forward handballing 5m out of our team mates reach is deplorable. It's UNACCEPTABLE!!! It's beyond a joke. It's not AFL standard. This wouldn't be accepted in Division 4 EFL. _________________ Est. 2002 |

This is coaching pure and simple.The fact that it keeps happening time and time again without being addressed proves it. |
