It's a sad story that he has had to give it away due to a mental health issue.

The Richmond recruiters must be unhappy though.

Richmond traded Pick 19 for Yarran. This ended up being pick 23 after some bids were matched. (They drafted David Cuningham).

Funnily enough this pick originally belonged to Freo who recieved it as compo for losing Rhys Palmer. Freo actually traded the pick to GWS (where Palmer went) who then traded it to Gold Coast who traded it to Richmond. Palmer, of course, is now also a Carlton player.

He'll be 26 in a couple of weeks, so a return to the highest level isn't out of the question.

I wonder how many more will just quit because they virtually have to wear a GPS tracker 24-7. If he was home in WA and went bush for a week and they couldn't contact him he could be suspended. That and muppets on unsocial media and he has no space but his own family home.

Talented player, but he obviously has some major issues he needs to deal with. All the best to him.

On pure footballing terms, Richmond trading pick 19 for him is a disaster with the benefit of hindsight.

Totally, the tiggers should have called Carlton's bluff on a first-round selection in this instance. Reckon the Blues would have folded.
