Have either had any sons?

No, Dale has a daughter and Heath is still single from what I can tell. Younger brother Rhyce is married but does not have kids, however Rhyce played 94 games for Collingwood.

By no means does this player fall into the top 10 category, but i used to enjoy watching Scotty Russell play through the 90's. He was similar to Pendles in terms of seemingly always having more time to use the ball than his team mates.

Anzac Day medalist and an All Australian, he used to dominate the centre square and had serious pace.

How cool to join the Pies and win a flag in your first year - along with fellow SA player Tony Francis!

Scotty is one of my all-time favourite players. His skills were quite exquisite and he contributed massively to that 1990 premiership. His steal of the ball and goal at the end of the third quarter of the 2nd Semi-Final that year is the moment I first thought we would win that flag.

Just a slightly different tack - with one more Collingwood win, Pendles will equal the great Wayne Richardson on 175 victories; with 4 more he will pass Tony Shaw and be clear in third place behind only Gordon Coventry (220 wins and 5 draws from 306 games) and Harry Collier (a quite ridiculous 193 wins and 4 draws from just 253 games). That will be some achievement when it happens.

When comparing players over different eras it is obviously quite difficult. However I may have underrated this bloke. Always felt he was just a smidge below Bucks and Daics. However he is really starting to sway me he is is one of the truly elite of the elite.

His foresight with his ball use is probably the best I have ever seen. Now if he can captain this lot to a premiership well...that would be special.

Only 13 to go to join the 300 club! Very Happy

Here is that goal from last night

Maybe mods should sticky a countdown to 300 in second half of year!

Great idea! Will stop the inevitable new 300 game threads coming.

The earliest possible time that Pendles can reach 300 (assuming he doesn't miss a game) is the first week of the finals.

For Collingwood, in my life time, in my opinion.
No one has field kicked like Buckley.
No one has goal kicked like McKenna.
No one has created goals like Daicos.
No one has burst run like Swanny.
No one has evaded people and made time stop like Pendles.

Yet another sublime game by probably the most underrated bloke in the AFL. I'll definitely be making the trip to his 300th to celebrate the career of a true champion and future legend of the Club.

Nobody played with more heart than Paul Licuria.

Had another great day Vs Freo, including 2 great goals.

Might have won the 3 votes if we'd won the game. Fyfe will get the three.

But he's back into AA form.

288 Games now. 12 to go for 300.

Is something wrong with this thread?

It's acting up, saying theres more pages than there really is. And then it says no post or topic exists when u click on it.

Weird.

Same thing is happening to me.

I'm thinking that the mods deleted some posts which has messed up the page numbering.
