Wayne Carey knows a lot about stupidity. Getting coked off your head and smashing a glass into your girlfriend's face is stupidity.
FFS, some people need to get a frigging life! |

Some people need to grow up all right, but it's not Stephenson. Hang your heads in shame. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I can't believe some of the stuff posted on here excusing Stevo!
Hell, if we stuffed up like he did in our workplace we wouldn't be off on an all expenses paid holiday, we'd be down at Centrelink looking for a new job.
AFL players and some fans reek with a sense of entitlement that is disgraceful to true working class people. Why do we contantly excuse poor behaviour from rich young footballers? It's a serious question.
Stephenson offers the world nothing special in life, he just has a particular talent for kicking a leather bag full of wind. And for this we pay them a relative fortune. Had he not had this ability I'd venture to say he'd be down at Centrelink himself as part of the massive youth unemployment problem.
Stop excusing bad behaviour from kids who are no more special than our own children (who aren't famous). Frankly I'm sick of him! |

What, he's not allowed to have a break?
Lighten up folks, he has a life outside football too.
Why should he give up having a punt? It's a bit of fun, he's a footy player, not a priest. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

So why do you care then? Nobody asked you to follow football, or have any interest in what the players do on or off the field. Maybe you should take a look at yourself and recognise that the reason you get to switch on the TV or rock up at the game and watch our team win matches is because of brilliant players like him with elite skills, on-field loyalty to his teammates and strong work ethic. So maybe he does offer the world something special after all.
We all know that he made a bad decision. Since then, he has copped his right whack, and is seemingly doing everything asked of him by the club to redeem himself and ensure that he's ready to go when his suspension ends. Fair enough, some rubberneckers saw a picture of him online and thought it meant he was slacking off; but now that they know they're wrong, they should be big enough to admit that they were being presumptuous and unnecessarily judgemental. But if you'd rather keep mouthing off and look like a sanctimonious fool, be my guest. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Considering how his suspension destabilised the club (and it did), and fans rocking up to every game suffering through the schlock we’ve been serving up since the bye... yeah, he deserves to be a scapegoat for our anger and frustration. And he’s meant to be delivering meals to the elderly but didn’t turn up, nor did he front up in Africa to build an orphanage with Bono. He should have his nose rubbed in the players’ socks after every match! |

Wayne Carey smashed a bottle over his OWN head, yet preaches about 'stupidity'.

All expenses paid holiday? I don't think the club paid for it as he is holidaying with his family. Heaven forbid if his parents paid for it.
If you stuffed up at your workplace most likely you would not be straight down to Centrelink as employees are protected by workplace law. _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

Only at Collingwood.
If this stuff proves to be the biggest blue he makes at collingwood over a 15 year career, then we should all sleep very well. |

^ Club is a disgrace. Embarrassing that our media department couldn't predict that this would become an issue.

Four day break with family, enjoying some sun before another 4 week intensive block of training.
It shouldn't be an issue and wouldn't be if it was another club.
Keep smiling Stevo. _________________ "Still waiting for your call Caroline ... not a quote in sight. Don't ever presume to speak on Collingwood's behalf," |

Got that right. Players of other teams these days seem to have gotten the message about gambling. |
