I note your solid backing of Langdon and from Me you have no argument. Was a star before injuring himself, worked his wayback to some form nicely to the end of last season and I think and hope, he gets back to his best this year.

AFLX should have been marketed as a “young guns” tournament.

I guess this pre-match thread for AFLX?

We could actually win a Grand Final tonight... But how ridiculous to say you've won a Grand Final after 3 hitouts.

Oh well, I guess it's something to be the first AFLX champion??

Go Pies.

I confess to being mildly Xcited. Maybe because I want to see JS & NM pull on the club jumper for the first time.

Whilst I'm interested to see what this format looks like, I fear it will perpetuate the 'cross-country basketball' nomenclature.

I'm looking forward to having a look at it. Considering the rules, it could play very much like basketball.

^^^
It seems possible it may be teams largely alternating in scoring, like basketball teams trading baskets. If so, it may be crucial to convert goal opportunities. If you kick lots of points, while your opponent kicks lots of goals, you'll be doomed.

[Okay, looks like I found the channel. Had to search a long time. For me, 7Two is 53. How does that work?
And I see MB has opened a game thread.]
