Just saw the article on afl.com.au.
Pretty exciting for these lads. Clarkson is renowned for targeting new players though.
I'm really excited for the game. It'll be my first in 2.5 years. I think we can win and I hope these guys can do enough to remain in the side.

Unfit Rioli = 6 touches, 2 goals and a hand in 4 others. In saying that I have absolutely no idea which way this game will go. I suspect both teams will end up middle of the road.

Will both teams be stinking to high heaven though?
Where woud Louden Wainright the 3rd (or was it Warren Zevon) play if he came to Collingwood?

It's great to see 2 debutants line up in round one; something we haven't seen for a few years. Murray is a very good mark, provides the run and carry we've desperately needed out of defence, and he seems to be a great decision-maker and kick. He will help our forwards with better delivery.
Stephenson is the X factor we've been lacking for a while. Much like Hoskin-Elliott, he 2 runs like the wind and loves to impact the score board. Can't wait for satdy night. Go Pies!  |

I think most of us expected to see Murray and Stephenson in our round 1 side so it comes as no great surprise but congratulation to both nonetheless.
Hopefully it's the start of a long and distinguished career for the Collingwood Football Club.
