Dunn dusted
Shaz shot
Our back six has been ripped up and I marvel at how the defence just keeps getting up and competing
We may have to rely on some old timers (if they can manage their bodies )

Mayne, Sier and Mihocek have been named.
Howe will miss a week.
Have not heard further news on De Goey.
1 WEEK:
J. Howe (Concussion)
J. De Goey (Leg)
We'll be praying that both will be right to go once we're back from Sydney.
1-2 WEEKS:
F. Appleby (Hamstring)
B.Reid (Calf)
Reid will be a welcome addition if he can stay on the park. A lot of our premiership hopes may rest on his legs, as scary as that sounds.
2-3 WEEKS:
R. Wills (Hamstring)
3-4 WEEKS:
J. Elliott (Hamstring)
Doubtful to get into the seniors from here. I think the best we could hope for is a big VFL finals campaign, which is still something to look forward to.
5-6 WEEKS:
A. Treloar (Hamsting)
Dont know if he can get back into the team for finals. Just do what you need to do Adam.
TBA:
T. Goldsack (Back)
Sack was a chance to play VFL until a back complaint. Still could become a massive fairytale if things go right for him.
SEASON:
T. Broomhead (Leg)
Dunn (Knee)
Kirby (Heart)
Scharenberg (Knee)
Wells (Foot)[/quote] _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Already failed us once in 2011. 7 years older and that is a huge concern. _________________ Well done boys! |

16 of 45 not available this week, we can almost field a team of casualties. We get Howe back next week. If De Goey is not back next week I’d be concerned it is more serious than first thought. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Give us a fully fit 22 and we'll smash any opponent (including the tiggaz). The cats proved that they're not as indestructible as people make out. The paper tiges are beatable and we're more than capable of knocking them off their pedestal. If it weren't for injuries then we'd be further ahead of where we are now. Smash the swans and look out! |

I think everyone acknowledges that.
Unfortunately, we will NEVER have our best 22 on the field, or even close to it. _________________ Est. 2002 |

I'm not sure that our club can be blamed for many of our injuries. It seems to me that 3 players in particular, Reid, Moore and Elliott, have had long histories of recurring hamstring/calf/back related injuries. I suspect they are simply not up to the rigours of AFL footy. Sadly, the same goes for Scharenberg, whose future as a league player must now be seriously in doubt. Treloar has never had soft tissue problems before, and his incident was rather freakish, running at full speed and landing awkwardly on both legs. De Goey's injury - if we can believe the club - was sustained by a collision. Dunn and Goldsack are ageing players with long histories of being injury free.
I guess all I'm saying is that rather than blaming our conditioning staff for our injury rate, it's best to examine each case separately. Having said that, I don't understand how Richmond have been so friggin lucky. |

M. Gleeson:
"Collingwood changed its fitness staff in the off-season, a decision to that stemmed from their club-wide review.
Most other elements of the review have proven to be correct, accurate and validated by performance.
But not all. Collingwood’s fitness and conditioning has been an unmitigated disaster.
At the end of last year Collingwood sacked Bill Davoren and essentially replaced him with his underling Kevin White.
Davoren supporters will not enjoy watching players get injured, but would indulge some schadenfreude at the breaking down players and say ‘I told you so’.
Supporters of the change will argue this long injury list might is only a consequence of having to fix an inferior program last year. The argument goes that when you change a program and build in new weights or strength components you risk players breaking down before they improve.
That might be true, but it is impossible to believe they would have anticipated this level of carnage."

I’m reading the injury wrap up from round 20 and the only two clubs not impacted by further injuries, were the Lions who we play this week and you guessed it ...... the Tigers.
All I will say is, there is still almost two months till the G F.
Beware Tigers, it can only go one way from here. |
