Nathan Murphy to play first game this year in VFL. Happy to hear he has recovered from ankle and back injuries. |

Yep. Baby steps but will certainly take any reduction in our ever growing/long injury list.
In other good news, Pendles could be chance to play on weekend. Sounds like the surgeon has given him all clear given the condition of his wound. Bucks said it’ll be up to Pendles to evaluate whether he can play against the Giants. Overall, very good news that he should be back this week or next (you’d assume), especially considering some early reports he could miss up to 6 weeks. |

The CFC website also reports that Wells is recovering from his PCL injury ahead of schedule.
If we can get him up and about in time for the last h&a game against the Bombers, he could be the icing on the cake for our finals campaign. The great thing about him is that he has a history of being able to play well immediately after returning from a long injury spell. He is a natural. The thought of how he and Stephenson could improve our side is giving me a stiffy. |

He is the last player I want on the ground in a final. He has played a grand total of 1/3rd of a game this year before hobbling off. Last year he managed 2/3rds of 4 games and was injured in 2 of them. We need players on the park not sitting on the bench stuffing up our rotations. His best football is well behind him and he only ever showed glimpses of it at Collingwood
it’s more than time to say it was a mistake to recruit him, another gamble that didn’t pay off. Putting him and Moore in the same team for a knockout game would be asking for trouble _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

Agree totally. I'd rather have a fit and hungry Crocker running around for a certain 4 quarter effort than a burst from Wellsy. Thanks for coming. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

I doubt Wells will force his way into our finals side barring more injuries or a sharp drop in form by quite a few players
Dunn is gone for the season and likely Langdon as well even though the club seem to want to keep his name on the indefinite list without confirming his done
Beams is 50/50 but is slightly ahead of schedule for a return around round 20/21 at this stage (if there isn't any set backs)
Hopefully we won't suffer any further long term injury and have a heap of selection headaches |

I assume you’re talking about his body when you says he’s slightly ahead - what about his mental health _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

I didn't realise he had a back injury as well. The injury or injuries supposedly started somewhere on the leg and moved down towards the toe (I can't remember if it reached the toe).
I see the June 25 post of the official injuries is where it first turns from "ankle" to "back".

Why would anyone be surprised that Elliot is injured.
Sadly, Jamie's body can no longer cope with AFL.
Like Moore and Reid, we need to make some tough decisions about retaining players who can not stay healthy. |

Well, the club has gone with "general soreness" for Jamie and "calf soreness" for John Noble.
Levi & Darcy have hamstring injuries. |
