I’m reading the injury wrap up from round 20 and the only two clubs not impacted by further injuries, were the Lions who we play this week and you guessed it ...... the Tigers.
All I will say is, there is still almost two months till the G F.
Beware Tigers, it can only go one way from here.

And it looks a little better, with 6 of our injured listed as TEST ;
JDG, Wills, Howe, Appleby, Reid & Goldy.

Elliot & Moore are 3 away.

Trelaor 4-5 weeks

By those dates, if we are still alive in the second week of finals, then Treloar would just about be right for senior selection in a modified role.
That’s cutting it pretty fine. Geez, his loss has hurt us.

On Talking Footy, they reckon our club is confident that Darcy will soon sign on again. Also, they reckon that Moore's hamstring problems are likely related to his back, stemming from his continued growth. The feeling is a special running program over the summer should have him cherry ripe for season 2019. Hope they are right.

Continued growth? Did he get into Wittsy's left over HGH?

“There’s a decision to be made there with Jamie, whether we do operate or whether we do continue with his rehab. We will know a little bit more on that particular case in the next couple of days.”

Another Wednesday night;

TEST:
J. De Goey (Leg)
F. Appleby (Hamstring)
B.Reid (Calf)
T. Goldsack (Back)
R. Wills (Hamstring)

JDG is expected to face the Lions. Appleby and Wills seemed to have come back a little bit quicker that first thought. Both may still miss a week before returning via VFL. I'd expect Reid to sit out one more week, or possibly play a half in the VFL. Goldsack the same.

1 WEEK:
J. Howe (Leg)

Been reveled that Howe suffered a corkie and not expected to play Vs Brisbane.

2-3 WEEKS:
J. Elliott (Hamstring)

Doubtful to get into the seniors from here. I think the best we could hope for is a big VFL finals campaign, which is still something to look forward to. There's some word about him going in for surgery, but the club and AFL still have him listed as 2-3.

3 WEEKS:
D. Moore (Hamstring)

Pretty sick of him in and out, then in, then out again. May feature in finals, but I dont know if that'll be worth it if he gets hurt again. Depending how far we make it, might be a good idea to keep him wrapped up for 2019.

4-5 WEEKS:
A. Treloar (Hamsting)

Dont know if he can get back into the team for finals. Just do what you need to do Adam.

SEASON:
T. Broomhead (Leg)
Dunn (Knee)
Kirby (Heart)
Scharenberg (Knee)
Wells (Foot)

Hopefully we dont see anymore injuries for the rest of the season. We'll have some big ins coming up next week, if not tomorrow night.

The word about Elliott going in for surgery was from Buckley ... put a fork in him for 2018.

Howe won't play, while Appleby is at least another week away and Treloar a little further back. Reid and Wills look available while De Goey is a line ball to play.

I have it on good authority that they use knives, not forks, and, moreover, they prefer to call them "scalpels".

Howie thinks with his ... err ... thigh.

Seems Darcy's knee hit him so hard in the head that it left him legless.

Goodbye Jamie. Thanks for the fantastic memories, but your back injury has ended your career.
