Imo he is the only player in our side that we can 100% say we couldnt win the flag without. Everyone else is somewhat replaceable. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

He is the best ruckman for us I can remember. He is also a very very good player besides but don't agree with irreplaceable, taps from rucks are not a forgone conclusion - Taylor Adams work is important too - we would have done better v carlton with him in.
DeGoey is important and special too but its not as though everything he touches turns to gold either.
Pants and now Peddles were the only players that always seemed to do something to advantage. deGoey is still young tho.
We're a team, I don't really think singling out players above other great contributors is helpful. _________________ We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night |

Agreed all round. Look I agree De Goey being fit and firing is a MASSIVE piece to our Premiership puzzle but he is somewhat replaceable, or at least the void that he would leave.
Grundy on the other hand and his place in our puzzle is irreplaceable. Certainly the best ruckman I've ever seen at the club, with an honorable mention to Damian Monkhorst, although as good as he is - he isn't the complete package i.e his ability to go forward and be a genuine marking and goal kicking threat - though yes he bobs up for goals now and then.
We cannot win without him, and in my opinion he is easily worth 1.2 mil per year for 7 years - we'd be fools to let him go, whatever the price. _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

If everyone else was fit? We definitely could. Grundy though? I don't even want to contemplate that. _________________ Brown re his GF omission:

This reminds of John Lennon's reply, when asked if Ringo Starr was the best drummer in the world - "he's not even the best drummer in The Beatles". |

Incorrect -> from https://www.radiox.co.uk/artists/beatles/did-john-lennon-say-ringo-wasnt-even-best-drummer/
“Ringo wasn’t even the best drummer in the Beatles.” Never said by John Lennon. Jasper Carrott’s office claimed it as 1983 gag; proof now it was said earlier, in BBC comedy Radio Active in Oct 1981. File here. Voice by Philip Pope. Written by Geoffrey Perkins. Not by John Lennon. _________________ Most of my favourite bands start with "M" - Mars Volta, Mastodon, Megadeth, Metallica, Midnight Oil, Misfits...except King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard ~ |

While that may or may not be true, it doesn't mean we could win one without Grundy |
I agree with that too (unless, of course, Tom Langon puts his hand up to hold the fort while Grundy is out - he's very good at that you know). _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |
