The AFL Will make sure they will Match any Offer from Oppostion Club to Force a Trade for Lynch |

As said in the other thread, the following free agents will need to have a decision made on, if we're to recruit a high paid player like Lynch;
Jarryd Blair
Alex Fasolo
Tyson Goldsack
Ben Reid

I rate him... Not a million a year though.
He doesn't get the greatest of service at gold coast and is a level headed player and already a captain |

He's already on more than that, we'd need to go 1.5 _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

The afl can try all they like but he he wants out then who are they to try and stop him. You'd only hang around up there for the money anyway cos that team is going nowhere fast and are unlikely to play finals anytime soon. The chance to come home is enticing for anyone as is the chance for a big club in front of big crowds. |

I’d throw the kitchen sink at him.
Pay him 1.3 or 1.4, front load the crap out of it so when time comes we need to pay players more, we should be fine. Remembering, the cap goes up every year. In a few years, 1.3 could be a bargain price.
Reid is made out of cardboard, I Dunn know how old Dunn is, Pendles won’t be commanding the same huge bucks at next contract.
I seem to be the only one here who thinks we should throw the sink at him.
Moore needs help in my opinion and if him and his old man seem to think he needs to leave the pies, then we need a replacement (FYI I don’t think he’s going anywhere but by the same token I don’t think he’s worth 800k at this point). _________________ Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, we want some Bayley! |

Moore needs replacing. Lynch would do just fine. |

No, it's not just you. I've been on the 'operation: get Tom Lynch' bandwagon for a while now. Days like today really demonstrate the need for a proper key forward.
You don't need a lot of tall forwards to be a strong side as Richmond show, but one who can clunk marks and kick goals on a regular basis which Lynch can do is something we should be strongly considering. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I'd throw everything at Lynch to get him.
What are our alternatives - yesterday's game highlighted the lack of a target to kick to when coming out of the back half.
Lynch is a huge upgrade on Reid and an even bigger upgrade on Moore.
Must get for our structure. |

I think I wrote something along the lines of “give him what he wants” a few months back in the Tom Lynch thread. _________________ Est. 2002 |
