Post subject: Chris Mayne best game for club | |
|
Played his best game for the club today.
26 touches and 9 tackles.
Starting to show why we recruited him.
Adds valuable depth while we have injuries.
Maybe in our best 22 now?

Had a good game.
Still think he is slow with his decision making at times.
Getting better with more games back at the top level. |

Credit where it's due. Mayne was good last week and very good today.
Definitely deserves a run at it in my opinion. He needs to be judged on performance not on what the club chose to pay him and he was one of our better performers today by any fair-minded measure. |

Exactly
His best game means nothing, not when most of the team turned in a shocker, he’s not worth what he’s paid, yes he was serviceable, but he still didn’t hit every target, he hand passed to Varcoe when he still had a metre clearance and Varcoe had a player on his back, that’s dumb footy
He tries seems like a nice guy, but if he was our best today we be £$%$ed, Geelong were shit but we were shitter _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I think we’re lucky he’s got that couple of extra years on his contract, so he can work himself into form. |

he seems to be improving with each game, definitely worth perservering with, at last he seems to be finally getting it, our style of game. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Mayne was one our best players. I would suggest that is clearly a concern with so many other players have simply gone missing. I would prefer Mayne was in our best if we won, that would be the right way. |

Does that include KOing Tom Phillips with concussion?
He did seem improved but was indecisive and lacked confidence which made for some errors in disposal. Hopefully that'll improve with this game. He needs to show more poise for the money we pay him _________________ Pies Forever |
