Subject: Got good mail that today that it's over for KK

Hope the club aren't waiting for a strategic time to anounce it but further tests have revealed Kayle won't be able to continue his AFL career. A real nut punch!

So any Truth to this

Hopefully not, but if true we should all respect Kayle's right to announce it how and when he sees fit.

He isn't the first nor will be the last player not to make it in the AFL. Whether it's his heart or other reason, he isn't able to deal with AFL. It is what it is.

I wouldn't exactly call it a nut punch..he's no Scott Pendlebury.

Agree. If it's true, they may want a second opinion and look at alternatives. If it does become clear that he can't play top level sport because of his heart, I'd expect it to be announced once everyone was all on the same page and Kirby was ready to make it public.

I'm not sure I understand the implication of that.

Roberton only went down momentarily whereas Kirby was out for over 5 minutes and Roberton has been ruled out for the season. Where does that leave Kirby? I was not too hopeful at the time watching Kirby collapse in front of me. Sad. I really felt that Kirby had a bright future in front of him. However these things happen and hopefully Kirby can find a career outside football.

Terrible news for KK, his family & friends and "us" - Collingwood that is, if true.

His chances of having a considerable AFL career were already slight. Adding the health issues pretty much ruled it out whether he is eventually passed healthy to play or not.
