1 more year on contract but they don't mean anything these days

Given up captaincy.
What's the chance he finished his career with us... And for what price?

I'd be down to bring him back. But it's not going to happen. Have no idea what it'd take to get it done. Probably a juicy draft pick which we wont want to give up anyway.

Got a good chance to get Claye tho.

Jack Blair off the VFL list to make space for him. He can give Gus Borthwick a cut out for 5 or 10 minutes a quarter.

That ship has sailed. de Goey, Treloar and Stephenson are required and unless we unload a gun player we can't afford it.

Not in a pink fit. His brother is useless too. He got out when the going got tough and hasn’t fired a shot since he left. Stuff him. Crisp is twice the player he is now.

^Not sure about him being finished nor less than Crisp, her remains a great footballer and his game against Sydney showed that.

We don't need another high-priced midfielder though. We have plenty with De Goey etc going to require more money to sign up.

Our recruiting focus should be on quality KPPs like Tom Lynch given Darcy's body is unreliable and Reid's as well. Pretty simple.

Yep. Me too. Not sure about Tom Lynch though as the asking price might be too high

Dayne won't be returning to Collingwood for that fact he won't be coming to Victoria
His decision to give up the captaincy was a personal one
As history shows right now we've done well in the trade
His body has shown loads of wear and tear which shouldn't be a surprise considering he was missing games here with soft tissue and knee injuries before he was traded
The club has moved on as has Dayne he will finish his career in Queensland and body permitting he will play on at the lions for another 3 years past this contract but I'm guessing the terms won't be as lucrative as his first deal

He lost my faith the night he chose to drown his sorrows at the “Harp Hotel” in East Kew versus attend the Copeland Trophy and make an esoteric, vague and narcissistic speech like Harry O did.

There is no excuse for going to East Kew, ever. A player cannot come back from that.

Dayne Beams was one who decided to "get off the bus".

Remember this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mlg0aXcA42I

There is no coming back. Ever.
